My first day back to the surgeon was today. He is happy with the way the incisions look as they are healing nicely. Removed 32 staples from my tummy and 12 from one leg this time. I will go back in a week for removal of the rest of them.

He also said it was perfectly normal for my crying times....they only come about when I get extra tired....getting my shower, dressing, makeup...by the time we got to the office, I was already in tears....but, he said it was normal. Said it would take at least a full month for me to feel more like my old self.

Thank you again for your prayers...ohhh, I just couldn't make it without them.

Love, bj

BJ, we are all so glad that the surgeries are over and done, and that you are on the mend. "On the mend" is so easy to say but so hard to be doing, isn't it? Just know that you are loved and prayed over, and that God is holding you and healing you. Soon, you will be back to your busy, sunny self. You will feel better soon!

Be blessed,
Janera

Don't be too hard on yourself. Cry all you want - it relieves all that tension that you don't need right now. We all care about you. Know that you are still in our prayers. Wish I could be there to give you some TLC.

Good news! It's good to hear that you are healing and making progress. Don't worry about the crying. I had a different major surgery many years ago and when I couldn't stop crying in the doctor's office he told me that my body had been through a lot and it would take time for 'normal' to return. Including my whole nervous system. He was right - it did! Take care of yourself, get the rest you need and soon you'll be amazed at how great you feel again. I'm praying for you. ~Adrienne~

Oh BJ,

I wish I could be there to help you get through this part. I know how hard it is and how much you want to be at full strength. It will be behind you soon and you will be back to yourself. In the meantime, if you need a good cry you go ahead and let yourself have it. You've been through a lot and it's okay to feel overwhelmed at times. Know that we love you and our prayers are surrounding you sweet friend.

Huge hugs,
Dena

Hi BJ, I think I've been in your home on RMS and I just happened upon your blog this evening. I know how you are feeling right now. It is so hard for us gals to sit back and let someone else take care of us and be cooped up for so long. Patience is not easy. I find that shedding a few tears helps me get through the tough times. After I've had a good cry, I'm ready to face another challenge. Just take things really slow and there is light at the end of the tunnel, it just takes a little time to get there.
Just make the most of you downtime and enjoy some of those lazy activities you don't usually have time for!
Hugs, Bridget
