DAY TWO....H.O.T. KITCHEN OPEN HOUSE

WELCOME
TO MORE BEAUTIFUL KITCHENS, LADIES
*Please note that I didn't choose any certain kitchen for any certain day of posting.
With so many coming in, I just tried to "stay up" with my posting as they arrived in my email.
There has been a tremendous amount of submissions and I
THANK YOU ALL
for them

THE FOLLOWING are from SHARI RUTLAND" One of my favorite kitchens belongs to "Paintingismypassion" on RMS. I especially love the backsplash, window treatment, rug and cute little island! The generous crown molding is pretty spectacular too! Yeah, I could be really happy cooking meals in this kitchen!

"Personally, I don't need or want a huge kitchen with all the expensive bells and whistles. Just give me a small to medium-sized kitchen with charm and personality and I'm a happy camper! As you can see, my two favorite kitchens are very similar...white cabinets, black countertops, and although I'm typically more of a "pastel person," they are both accented with RED. I am loving the color red in decor these days!
One of my favorite kitchens on RMS belongs to "Leela4493." This is how it looked when she originally posted it. (Didn't you feature this kitchen on your blog once?)", SAID SHARI...

NOTE: YOU ARE RIGHT...I sure did feature it on my blog once as one of my
FAVORITES (bj)

" Then she made a few little changes based on suggestions from others on RMS and reposted. I like it this way too! I can't decide which is better."

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SHARI

HERE is a real beauty from another REAL BEAUTY

PENNY at LAVENDER HILL "Here is a picture of one of my favorite kitchens....today....lol. I love this one because distressed cabinets, the confit pots, jars with rosemary, the copper tea kettle, red transferware - it all says French Country to me."

Thank you, PENNY, for sharing this great kitchen
If you stand in the middle of it, I am sure you could just DREAM you were smack in the middle of
FRANCE

THIS IS SO MUCH FUN
SEEING ALL THE DIFFERENT TYPES AND STYLES OF KITCHENS

*************************

THE following 3 photos are from " the singing woods" and

our friend, DEENA of CAN I BE PRETTY IN PINK

is sharing, with us, her beautiful WHITE and BLUE kitchen

I love that little shelf area to display all the blue ware...

Such a warm and homey kitchen...
THANK YOU for sharing your lovely domain with us, DEENA
(she has this AMAZING hunk of a man that hangs out in this kitchen with her)

...Hey, Deenaaaaa,
why didn't you send us a photo of HIM ??? He could have stood right there by the sink and worn a BLUE shirt and it would have enhanced your already awesome kitchen !!
;O) :O) :O)
*************************

I've received so many pictures of lovely, LOVELY kitchens...I didn't know there were so many DIFFERENT kinds of kitchens. They have every one been just delightful
as well they should be...after all...

A KITCHEN IS A WOMAN'S DOMAIN
let me hear an AMEN

****************************

The following 5 pictures belong to PAT of BACK PORCH MUSINGS
They are of her own beautiful kitchen

(I'd like you to know that as soon as I saw this picture, I ran and got MY rooster weather vane and put it on top of MY black hutch because YOUR'S looks so pretty, Pat !!)

PAT sent along the following information about her dream kitchen

Hi BJ
I'm sending along some photos of my kitchen. I've added some information about different aspects, to the photos. The cabinet maker and I
designed the kitchen.
Behind the big pantry door is where most of the dishes and linens are stored. The long cabinet next to the fridge has pullout shelves. This is where food is stored. The middle drawer, in the island, that looks like a door, with knob at top, is the pullout receptacle for the trash container. There is a deep drawer, for pots, under the microwave. Behind the door on the other end are pullout shelves, where the plastic things are stored. On the other side of the island are three doors with shallow shelves behind. That's where I keep cleaning supplies. There is an electrical outlet in one end of the island. I used to have a small table with a lamp, sitting there.
The floor is ceramic, cabinets hickory, the counters are manufactured solid service.

As with the rest of the house, we've used accessories with special meaning. Mother's hen cookie jar, our name, framed over the pantry, that was crocheted over 20 years ago, by a 90 year old woman who lived near our town. The print above American Gothic poster is Charleston's Rainbow Row, from one of our trips. The four photos, framed, above the stove, are 3 winter scenes from our farm lane and one of the cows, in snow.

The view from the sink is across the hearth room and out to the wooded area behind the house. The pocket door to the laundry, can be seen in some of the photos.

I tried to think of everything, but I found there were a couple things I should have thought of, like drawer dividers for utensils and flatware, better under cabinet lighting and an outlet over the cabinets above the fridge. I had two put in, above, on the stove side of the kitchen and have white Christmas lights up there for accent lighting."

*****

PAT, your kitchen is just breathtaking and it must be very serviceable...seems to me you thought of every one of the important things !

Many thanks for sharing these photos with all of us and...

HAPPY COOKING in your LOVELY space

Day two, so charming and lovely. This could go forever! smile. I can't even imagine how much time and effort it was. Thank you many times over for these great kitchens. I realized how much more I could have shown you about my kitchen. I didn't want to burden you with too many photos. The fun part of all this is getting ideas to use in our own kitchen.

Blessings, Jeanne

What fun...day two! I so want to play but fear that mine does not measure up! : (

Pat's I know well...I think I have committed to memory, each spot of her beautiful home!

Penny's choice was gorgeous...

Deena's home is so lovely, so fresh and bright. I had to laugh out loud when I read what you said about her husband! : )

My favorite would be the first ones...I love reds and brights and smaller kitchens loaded with charm. I love what Shari said on that. My thoughts exactly!!

I just took a few pictures of my kitchen...unremarkable perhaps but mine! : )

Is it alright if I show it on my blog and link to you??

Jean, all of these kitchens are wonderful, but you know me and blue so I just love Deena's. That just looks so fresh and spotless! The one that looks like country French must have come right out of a magazine.......well they all look that way come to think about it. Looking forward to tomorrow's post! Martha

Hi Bj , I am enjoying the kitchens so much . I messed around and missed the deadline to send mine in to ya . I will put an announcement on my blog for your open house.

BJ,

I love all of these kitchens but I must admit that my favorite is Deena's. It is so spacious. I love a large kitchen but alas, I do not have one. However, when I renovate mine will be much more organized than it is now.

Thank you for hosting this beautiful event. I'm really enjoying it.

Blessings,
Mary
