Our parade is always on the Saturday before St. Patty's Day but the official day is the 17th. I'm guessing that all those that may do some serious drinking would most likely do it on the preceeding Saturday also. I'm saving my celebration for Monday. Wanna join me?
DEAR "ANONYMOUS"..... Dear, if you will read my March 16th posting, it has the reason for the early celebration of St. Patrick's Day. It all has to do with HOLY WEEK, which does make sense. Thank you for reading my blog. bj

Why is it celebrated on the 15th, just for the drinkers?
I think nearly everyone assumed it was the 17th. Date change has to do with Easter being early. - so I am told!!
