Monday morning I will check in to the hospital at 6:00 AM (GOOD GRIEF!!) and I think I am just about ready....
I told you about getting a pedicure so I'll have pretty, twinkle toes while I am there....
I also had my nails done in a very light pink, almost clear with just a touch of color, really.....So when the nurse starts looking for veins to put my IV in, by golly, my nails are going to be pretty!!
I had my hair trimmed shorter than I normally wear it so that, not only are my twinkle toes and fingernails going to look pretty, my hair will have less tendency to stand STRAIGHT UP while I am in the bed!!
I have ALL OF MY WASHING done!!!!! WOW.....I'm not sure I have EVER had it ALL done at the same time. I just figured if I had it done, I wouldn't EVEN be worrying while I am recouping.
The ironing is finished (well except for those that are stuffed into another basket..you know, the things we don't wear very often.) GREAT SCOTT...I am impressed with MYSELF! lol
I made a couple of casseroles to freeze. Nothing fancy...this one is just noodles, Cream of Chicken, onions, ground sirloin with celery added. It will taste good one night with a salad, tho. And sweet hubby will be so happy to have something already fixed and he won't have to do much cooking.
This one is MEATY BAKED BEANS and cheese. It is one of our favorites and you just add the ingredients that you want and you are good to go. I'll have a green salad, salsa and tortillas with it.
My house is fairly clean...enuf so that it suits me. Out here in West Texas, we always have a little dust on things but it's not too bad this time of year. With just hubby and I, we seldom have too messy a house so just a quick run of the sweeper and a little dusting and....we're done!

Being women and the great home makers we are it is very hard to just not do anything but truly take this time to just relax. You will be in my prayers. Your preparations sound like what I did 9 years ago this month, when I was going in for surgery. Casseroles and cleaning and a bit of time for other things. It sure made all the difference, during recuperation!
