ON THE WINGS OF A SNOW WHITE DOVE.......

TERRIE at LIL' PIECE OF SERENITY asked us once if we believed in miracles...
YES, Terrie, I DO....
*********************************
the following was posted a couple of years ago....
but, especially at this time of year, I want to tell it over and over and over again.......

"ON THE WINGS OF A SNOW WHITE DOVE,
HE SENDS HIS PURE, SWEET LOVE,
A SIGN FROM ABOVE,
ON THE WINGS OF A DOVE.....
When troubles surround us,
When evil comes,
The body grows weak,
The Spirit grows numb........
When these things beset us,
HE doesn't forget us,
HE sends down HIS love,
On the wings of a dove."
**************

Two of our precious grandsons each had their backs broken within a year of each other.

One, 13 years old, a motorcycle accident, very serious, heartbreaking and heart-stopping for days, into weeks before we knew that he WOULD be okay, with time. At first, the doctors said he may not even survive such trama...then, if he did, he might not walk again. We spent many nights, pacing, crying, praying, stomping feet and back to praying....I thought, that in my lifetime, my heart had hurt before but nothing EVER hurt like this. He spent many weeks in the hospital and wore a back brace for a year. Now, a little over a year later, he is doing so well, it brings me to my knees every single night and it will for the rest of my life.
***********************

UPDATE: NOV. '08 *HE AND HIS MOM returned from Dallas after another exam was done on Brooks..
He got an excellent report and doesn't have to go back for a whole YEAR...
We give thanks ! and all praise to GOD ..
and my heart is so full I can barely type...
UPDATE:
OCTOBER '09..Brooks is still doing good.
We are all so thankful we don't know what to do.

The older brother, 17 years old, in a VERY serious automobile accident. Very serious broken back, cut his nose away from the top part of the lip....another heartbreaking, heart- stopping few days, into weeks. Our hearts were hurting so, we could barely speak, breath; we just sobbed and prayed, declared "why not ME?" and back to praying. He, too, IS GOING TO RECOVER. He is still in a back brace and will wear it for awhile longer. His nose barely has a scar now; the doctors did a fine job with the stitching.

NOTE: NOV. 08 *ONE YEAR LATER...he has recoved from both injuries and is doing very well..
UPDATE, NOV. 2009
DREW is having no trouble with his back.
How thankful we are for this.
*
ALL OF THE GLORY GOES TO OUR AWESOME GOD.
**********************

Every single morning, I wake up so thankful, so grateful, so full of life and joy that both of these fine young men that I love more than life itself, survived these accidents, came away still able to walk, still being able to plan on a full, smiling life....and this is one of those mornings I just needed to talk about it and express, in writing, and to you, what I express to GOD every single day. We all pray for their full recovery and we all pray for their mom and dad and sisters.

The ONLY place my daughter and son-in-law could have gotten their stainless steel strength is from the ALMIGHTY.

My heart is full....<><

***************************************

As we enter into this blessed time of year, CHRISTMAS, we will pray and thank GOD for all the blessings and love HE has bestowed upon us....to give us the gift of these two young men that are loved beyond any words, and to bless them with recovery from serious accidents is so awesome, I can't even write about it without bursting into tears. I am so grateful and so thankful and just can't find enough words to express my gratitude....I am so glad GOD knows what is in my heart because all i can say is.....

...THANK YOU, GOD.

*****************

30 DAYS OF THANKSGIVING
* We will forever be thankful these fellas have suffered no permanent damage due to these accidents. Every year at this time, I want to thank GOD through every avenue I can think of and my blog is a wonderful place. I have so much to be thankful for that I want to shout it from the rooftop !

much love....bj

I am so glad to read a blog of some one not afraid to write about their faith in God.

The God we serve is an "Awesome God"! Leaning on him is the only way to make it in this world.

Keep up the writing and letting the rest of us know how God is part of your life.

b.j. i can't imagine what you went through with your grandsons. We do have an awsome God and He does listen to our prayers. He and I talk every day through out the day. In fact, I start talking to Him before I even get out of bed and I don't say Amen until I go to bed at night. I like to think of having the line to Him open all day. your blog is inspirational today kiddo. love

Hi Mom,
Thank you for posting my sons story on here. It just gets more people to praying for them. I can hardly see to write for the tears streaming down. It has been a hard year, but you would never know it to look at them now! I could never have made it through all of it without the Lord, but also without you. You are such a strength to me, and I love and appreciate and admire you so much. When I thank God every day for what has transpired with the boys, I also thank Him for you! Love, Beautiful Daughter (haha) B.D. for short (that's also short for Baby Dial a Maid. Remember that?)

Your story left me breathless. I just cannot imagine the pain you and your family have felt with both of those young men in such horrible accidents! I know there are some people who would have turned away from God after these experiences. How wonderful that you and your family turned to God and that your faith was strengthened by these events. This was a wonderful testimony to God, and I am so glad I had the opportunity to read it. Thank you. laurie
