COOKIES......

I always make cookies with grand kids but since Christmas Eve is on Monday, I have a feeling everyone is going to be doing shopping, right thru the weekend.....soooooo.....just in case the kids can't get the time, I decided to do at least one batch of Christmas cookies for them. Christmas just wouldn't be Christmas without a Christmas cookie! Never mind that they all had parties at school yesterday and had so much sugar I was just glad none of them were coming home with ME !! hee hee hee....Talk about hyper!

GREAT BALLS OF FIRE...these babies GREW! There they are, all OVER my pan! WHEW.....

They are looking "pret...tee" bad at this point. I don't do decorating food very well....no patience.

Thank goodness for icing and colored sugars.......

I know my little grand kids well enuf that I know they will devour these red and green cookies, never noticing that the candy canes, the bells and especially the Christmas trees are waaaaay out of shape. OHHHH, don't you just LOVE little children!!

oops, there's the buzzer...another batch of these HUGH cookies are ready for icing and sugar.

I think this will be my last posting until after Christmas. Just so much to do and I want to get in a little rest, too, before the actual holidays. We may be traveling after Christmas day but I'll be sure to post when we return.

Have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS.

Here is wishing you a very Merry Christmas with your family.

By the way I think I would devour those sugar cookies too. The way I look at it, the bigger the better.

Peace be with you.

Yummy, sugar cookies. I think I might bake a few today too, if I get time. I might also make kitchen sink cookies. My Mom and husband like those. Well OK, I do too. We're off to Ohio tomorrow. I'll be in touch, my friend. My laptop has to go with us, you know.
Merry Christmas, sweetie. I so treasure your friendship. Hugs to you and your family.

Good Afternoon BJ,
I'm here for some lunch and coffee and of course dessert. Sugar cookies. I need a sugar high. LOL. I didn't get up till 10:30a.m. Me and hubby stayed up watching t.v. till 3:30a.m. I'm just now having my second cup of coffee. I love how your sugar cookies turned out. I've always heard: 'EVERYTHING IS BIGGER AND BETTER IN TEXAS". There's your sign. LOL. I'm sure the kids will love them. I didn't post today either and probably won't till after Christmas as well. I've so much to do and very little time to get it all done. "MERRY CHRISTMAS" to you and yours from our Family. JESUS IS THE REASON FOR THE SEASON!!!! Take care my friend and have a great Saturday. May God Bless You and Yours.

LOVE & HUGS,
Karen H.

BJ,

Love your Christmas cookies and if your grandchildren are anything like mine, they won't notice or care that the cookies are out of shape. They look delicious and know they will taste great because they are made with a grandmother's love.

Sorry I haven't been over to visit lately. Christmas things and getting ready for our trip has slowed me down in the blogging department.

Merry Christmas, my friend. May the Light of Christmas shine in your hearts and your home this holiday season.

Love and hugs,
Mary

You're making me hungry looking at those pictures of your cookies. I'm not good at making cookies, so can I come to your house this Christmas?

Hey BJ: You're right, the kids won't notice at all, just eat the cookies with reckless abandon. Merry Christmas to you and your husband. See you when you return.
