FROM MY DAUGHTER'S HOUSE ~

I didn't post today as I was at Stacy, my daughter's house with the kids. Thought I'd share with you a few things her grandmother left for her.....

This cute cow is crewel work that my mom did on the back of a shirt of mine once. When the shirt was no longer "in", I cut the pretty handwork out and had it framed. Stacy loves it!

I always loved this painting and the windmill below....

Mom was such a good artist. She actually was good at anything she ever tried..sewing, painting, any kind of hand work....Awesome talent.

I had the longest, hottest, bubbly bath in this vintage AWESOME tub at Stacy's house last night. Isn't it such a beautiful tub? I needed candles and a big glass of Blackberry Wine but, last night, a soak in this tub was enuf for me!! :)

My your mother was a very talented lady! The stitched cow is adorable and what a fantastic idea to have it framed. I love the windmill - I have a fascination for windmills of any kind. I really should start collecting them. And the bathtub - awesome!

What a nice post about your mom. She was a talented lady. That was a great idea to salvage the stitching on the shirt. Thanks for sharing.. That bathtub is pretty cool too!

so glad you're back! Have missed your blog. I didn't realize your mother was also an artist.it's wonderful you have things she's done. How little we knew of each other's parents back "in the day".
My mom wrote little stories and I have a couple of them that I treasure. Wonder what I could do with them?

I thought about just doing since thats what you thought I said and had been thinking about it for a few days but I just do not know what I would make! So sad. I will still think of what I could make if I think of something before its to late I will let you know. How much time do I have before you need to know?

What a smart idea to save the piece of embroidered work by making it into a picture. I love it!

Oh dear I just love that vintage bath tub. My Dad has one similar, and he made steps so that Mom could get in and out.

BJ I emailed you my address, did you get it? Perhaps I am using the wrong address.

Definitely using the wrong email address. And I can't seem to get it to work.

Email me at phillips_jackie@hotmail.com and I will send you my address.

The tub is beautiful. I don't think I would ever get out of it. It even has a basket to hold my book because while sitting in that tub of bubble bath, I would be too weak to hold my own book.
