My Love Affair with Blue and White Dishes

I posted these months back, when I first started blogging, but I have a lot of new friends on here that I wanted to see another of my collections....
NOTE: This being a repost, it just posted all the comments from back in Oct., too.

I am totally in love with blue and white transferware.

I LOVE using it and do so every chance I get. A lot of what I have is LIBERTY BLUE that was made during the 70's. For some reason, I've not found one piece of it around our area....Ebay has had quite a bit to offer and I've really had fun tracking pieces down.

I like it just stacked....

It's in hutches.....

I have it hanging on my walls...

I don't see an end to this love affair with this vintage blue and white transferware, vintage canister sets from Germany, lovely old plates, cups, saucers (they don't even have to have a mate!). I have a lot...I am running out of room to put it...and yet, I can never resist these blue and white beauties at a flea market, a yard sale, a thrift shop ...........What can I say? I'M IN LOVE !! :)

Blessings to all ~

I love your blue dishes. You'd be "blue" if you didn't keep adding to your collection. Love the way you show them off.

quilts are my weakness and the double wedding ring is fantastic, gorgeous, beautiful......it amazes me how women had time to make quilts when they had NO modern conveniences to help w/housework....and btw, your quilt is precious....i think you did wonderful.....i started quilting about a year ago (58 yrs old) and love it, however, i'm not very good because i can't see that well....don't feel sorry for me, i just want go get glasses.....anyway, your quilts are absolutely stunning and causes one to covet.....don't need to do that.....jennie from tn <>< (jidgede on RMS)

Your things are so beautiful!! That bottom picture is just stunning... And is that a pie bird I see? :)

You're going to think this is an odd story - maybe, maybe not...

My Grandparents went to the dump every week, and when I was little I loved going with them. One day my Grandma and I noticed a beautiful little blue willow saucer lying on the ground, all in one piece. Of course, we couldn't let it get destroyed, could we?
We brought it back to her house, and it was there until they died. I got it then, and had it until it was destroyed when they crews bulldozed what was left of our house a day early - we didn't have everything out! That's one of the things I miss the most...

(sorry for the long comment!!)

Good Afternoon BJ,
Oh my goodness, your Blue Liberty dishes are just to die for. I really love the one that has coffee on it. I think they really look good in your hutch and hanging on the wall. By the way, I love the quilt too. My Sister used to have a set of the Blue Willow dishes, but I don't know if she still has them or not. I'm going to check and see and if she does and doesn't want them, I'm going to see if she will give them to me. "THANK YOU" for sharing them with us. If you keep running out of room, your just gonna have to build another room just to showcase all of your dishes. LOL. Take care my friend and have a great day. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.
