THE Chandy (reposted 2 times due to PILOT ERROR)

 As I mentioned before....
I LUV THIS awesome candelabra from POTTERY BARN.
Waaay too pricy for Sweet Nothings SOCIAL SECURITY BUDGET, tho.
THIS one, bought at a thrift store for a very few dollars, is
SMALLER
PLAINER
LESS CHARMING AND BEAUTIFUL
but....

I think it MIGHT be cute once
YOU and I
work some magic on it.

So many sweet ladies offered up some mighty fine suggestions for what I might can do with it.

Some were simple....a few much more complicated than I could ever do...
and some suggestions required
T.A.L.E.N.T.
of which I have ZERO of.

ALL were fabulous ideas.
Thanks so much. The very best of blogging is how generous and helpful Bloggers are...
not to mention how TALENTED.
THESE are little metal  MINI TART PANS that I ordered from
AMAZON......6 for $11.
and I had a gift code that paid for them and the shipping.
HOT DIGGITY DOG !!

SONNY of 155 DREAM LANE
saw these, thought they would work great for the larger candles I am wanting to use
and sent me the link. I ordered them right away.
May I just say right here that they are PERFECT...
I GLUED them to the original smaller candle holders and
they fit like a glove and
I AM HAPPY.

I thought that, since MY chandy was so plain and didn't have all the
curly-q's and swirly things my inspiration chandy had,
I would hang it from THIS
curly-q's and  swirly things
holder to add a little
PIZAZZZZZ
to Ugly Duckling Chandy.

(I see I might need to touch up those screws with a little ORB....
funny thing....I didn't even notice them until I saw them in a photo....)

I've had that pretty metal holder for so long, I have no idea where I got it.
OIL RUBBED BRONZE and I are having a mad passionate affair...
I LOVE THE STUFF.....
The chandy hangs out far enough from the wall to be safe when I burn the candles...
I put this chandy in my dining room for the winter...
come spring, I may take it out on the patio....we'll see.
Do you like the holder it is hanging on?
I think it give it a little XTRA something....
Noooo, mine on the right, doesn't have the fanciness of the PB one,
but, it's a pretty good copy for a little fella....
only 4 candles opposed to the plentiful SIX of the one on the left.
I find myself thinking, "Why, if a person is going to make one of these, didn't he
flare out those straight bars into  graceful curves.....?"
Mr. Sweet says if the maker had gone to all that trouble, I would never have
gotten the chandy for 2 bucks.....:(
I think both of them are just precious....
THRIFTED, OLDEN
CHANDY........$2.00
little pans.......11.00
paint...................4.00
Total $17.00........PRICELESS
XOXO

  27. It's darling BJ! The scrolly bits on the hanger are a wonderful match for the scrolly bits on the chandy. Super clever idea to use the tart pans, and the ruffly edges add another element of detail. I think it is every bit as lovely as the inspiration piece:>)
