WINDOWS...

I love LARGE windows...
Our house is very olden and plain..
all the windows were the little short ones and I coveted LARGE windows...
sooo.....
when Mr. Sweet and I added on to our living room about 6 years ago,
he put in two large Southern windows for me and
I WAS IN LOVE!

SUNLIGHT streaming through...
 highlighting favorite things...
offering favorite things to see OUTSIDE...
2 large dining room windows.
Not a good photo...my camera broke shortly after this photo session. :((
a new fence last year...
green summertime grass...
new sidewalk from LAST summer.
Our grass, right now, is no where NEAR being green.
Won't be long, tho....
A favorite window in the dining room.
a little sunlight on my comfy leather sofas..
Kitchen window love....
TARTS....cooling on a kitchen windowsill...
SUMMERTIME SUNSHINE...
SHADOWS...
LIGHT...
DARK.....

I want ALL plantation shutters but, ooo, they are so expensive.
ONE WINDOW AT A TIME, I guess.
wintertime sunlight....
it looks so warm but ....
be still, my heart.
My vintage, metal stool.....
I love this little stool and years ago,
I saw a photo in a beautiful magazine of a vintage stool, just like mine,
and SHE had her sweetie's race car driver number on her stool.
I loved that so....I copied her.
I am SUCH a copycat....!!

  1. Everything looks so pretty BJ! Love the windows.

Do you know what an earth home is? That's what we lived in on the farm. There were two sets of french doors, one set was in the living room and the other set in the master bedroom. There was also a small window in the master bedroom. There was one bedroom with no windows at all, so could not use it for anything much other than storage, because of insurance!! The guest bedroom had one window and so did the laundry/utility room. There was a set of double windows over the sink and three skylights(leaky ones). When we built this house we asked for lots of windows...lots and lots of them. We have 32 windows, two single french doors and a set of two french doors, plus the front door is glass with two sidelights. Almost 40. Sort of window overkill.LOL But after living under the ground for over 20years we were starved for light!

Basically, they go right to the floor. I love that look tooooo! But never knew what it is called.

Naturally, I do not have any! Naturally! Up here is silly ol' Yankee Land. -sighhhhhhhhh- :-))))

    Gentle hugs...

  8. Windows help make a room, though I do believe you enjoy a decorating challenge and can create a lot of charm with or without a window's help.

Loved all of your pictures, everything looked so lovely with the sunlight shining through. 17. BJ,
I adore that you put "Mr. Sweet's" number on your chair! That sunflower caught my eye first. Sorry, "Mr. Sweet". .. I am from Kansas!I, also, spotted some of your willow Tree Angels on the shelves! Lovely light shining through your home. You've truly captured the warmth in your photos. I felt the love "oozing" through!

  20. I fell so in love with your sweet idea to put your hubby's football number on the stool that I had to immediately place a metal 7 next to an old paper number 8 card in my office so I'd have my own honey's #87. I just found your blog and love it! Have a great weekend...
