Our home fellowship
(which I love to pieces) gathered at our cottage Sunday and our theme....
"A PLAY-LIKE"
TAILGATING PARTY.....
Barbecue BAKED BEANS...
I like a sweet barbecue sauce
and could actually DRINK this whole bottle of
SWEET BABY RAY...
"The Sauce is the Boss"
This particular recipe called for
PORK AND BEANS
BACON
CANNED FRIED ONION RINGS
from PLAIN CHICKEN
This recipe for CLUB SANDWICH PUFFS
also came from PLAIN CHICKEN.
I used PEPPERED SMOKED TURKEY
and you can go to her site, search these recipes and find them in a flash.
We dipped these in
Honey Mustard......
and they are sooo tasty.
All tailgating parties have
SLIDERS....
and so did we....
These are whole wheat slider buns...
Honey Ham slices...
3 different kinds of cheese...
Drizzle POPPY SEED DRESSING on the inside, over the ham and cheese.
Just before sliding the SLIDERS into the oven a few minutes before serving,
melt a small amount of butter and mix with a nice amount of POPPY SEED DRESSING
and brush on tops of buns.
...just get them warm enuf to melt the cheese and
YOU'RE GOOD TO GO.....
If you've not tried THESE chips, you are in for a treat...
so flavorful....and 40% less fat !!
...gotta love that..:)
We had chips of all kinds...
the BEST CHEESE QUESO
of which I didn't get a photo.....
but, even worse....
I didn't get the recipe....BUMMER
Dessert...always desserts...
I have to tell you, I am sooo glad there's
BLACK JACK CHERRY
SMOOTH & CREAMY
FROZEN YOGURT...
Oh Honey
And, one of the sisters made the BEST LEMON BARS....
again...I didn't get the recipe...
SORRY ! ...
seems all I did was....
EAT..!!

We don't do tailgating, but I did find some good ideas. I think the sliders would be a hit no matter where we are.

ReplyDeleteDear Bj,
ReplyDeleteI hade to look up 'tailgate party' - the description sounds fascinating (but I still wonder how you can put all these mouthwatering eatables on the not so big tailgate??)
As I looked at the pictures, I started to long for foods I have never tasted (though a lot of the ingredients are known) - mmmh, yummi!
We have had some wonderful tailgates so far this football season and they are my favorite parties! Your food looks great and what a fun idea to recreate a tailgate at home :-)
ReplyDeleteAll the food looks delicious. I do not watch football that much and I have never been to a tailgate party. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteYou need to be on television with your own cooking show. You would put some of those others in the shade. I gotta move closer to Lubbock.
ReplyDeleteAre we all invited? Looks SO good! Sweet hugs!
