July 4th, 2013

 Hi, Everyone...
and
HAPPY JULY 4th...2013

Deed's and I were going to make an amazing little CENTERPIECE for our July table...

but, after spray painting this Styrofoam  about 20,000 times,
it just would NOT cover...(is it that 98 cent spray paint?)

Then...we tried WRAPPING the piece with red and white ribbon
but it wasn't working.....

and we had 12 people on their way over to EAT.....
and time was running out..

we just gave up on THIS project and....

...went straight to THIS with our cute little patriotic sticks.

Placed in this pot of  pretty, green IVY,
we had a great little centerpiece...

We even left the PINK and WHITE bow and ribbon on it
and it was STILL cute.

We have a PAPA MURPHEY'S PIZZA SHOP
that make your pizza fresh, while you wait...

then we bake them at home.

OH SO GOOD AND FRESH...

These are HAWAIIAN, with Canadian bacon and pineapple
and  CHICKEN, with Blu Cheese and spinach....
both....OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. GOOD.

A plain Cheese....

 and a
Pepperoni  .....

Mr. Sweet made a HUGE Green Salad and an awesome Fruit Salad
of which I did NOT get a photo of....

My silly, totally adorable grand, ANDREA,
playing UNICORN with an Ice Cream SUGAR CONE....

I did NOT get photos of  ALL MY PEOPLE...
they were all about to leave for VACATIONS
and we just gathered, ate, hugged, kissed and waved GOOD BYE.

There's a few of us, back there, reflected in the mirrors....but never did get all 12 of  us.

We also had MUDSLIDE COFFEE ice cream
STRAWBERRY FROZEN YOGURT
VANILLA
and SHERBET
...all so good in a SUGAR CONE...my favorite way to eat ice cream..

Cookies in THE COLORS OF THE DAY

Since our kids and their families were going out of town for the 4th, we all got together on the
30th so we could share our family time.

No time for grilling and all that stuff...we just were glad to have a little time together.

I love God...
I love America..
I love our beautiful flag...
I love our freedom...
I love YOU....
but it's my FAMILY that is MY HEART.

Have a great holiday...
and stay SAFE.

  21. Don't you hate it when the picture in your mind won't translate to the craft? Doesn't look like it was missing from your celebration with family, though! Happy Independence Day from your northern neighbour!

  25. Love your centerpiece and the fact that you simply put them in with greenery. I can't always rely on fresh flowers in the garden so I like the idea of a pretty plant for the dining room table that I decorate.

    Thanks for the inspiration.
