Oh, Dear....

....this MOVING THING is so much work !! WOW 
and I didn't have a clue how SLOW we would be...just because we are OLDEN.
MERCY ME...we have to stop so often, just to catch our breath.

Sheer EXCITEMENT keeps us going, tho.

 Our new front door....
isn't it pretty !!











No large porch....

but....
 ...out the door, down the path, thru this awesome gate
and you have.......
 I can close my eyes and SEE all the fun activities going on out there
come SUMMERTIME...
with the blessing of so many GRANDGIRLS, they will have friends over,
music blaring...
water splashing...
laughter sounding...
OH...
I am so gonna love it...

and David tells me he has a brand new, 6 qt. ICE CREAM MAKER
that makes a freezer full in 20 MINUTES....
boy o boy
banana nut
chocolate
PEACH
vanilla
pecan praline...UMMMM

 SURE LOOKS LIKE
PURE F.U.N.
TO ME !!

Not a lot to show you on the INSIDE as yet....

ALL the guys love this pool table room...
HEY....I might even try to learn to shoot pool...
all the grandgirls love it so there MUST be something to it...:)

There IS talk of moving the table to the main house...
in that case, Mr. Sweet wants to turn it into his TROPHY ROOM....
bear rug, deer head mount, mountain lion rug, wild hog head mount....
there's no doors on here so it would be open to the media room...
altho I am not fond of this type decor, he would be sooo thrilled to have a room like this...
and I say "GO FOR IT".....

 I've nearly always had WHITE walls....
but choosing Natural Wicker sure makes the pretty crown molding and other wood trim
STAND OUT.
It's a warm light tan.....
 My vintage pine mantel is IN PLACE...
not dressed as yet but I can hardly wait to add

my WALL OF LOVE above the mantel.
Think that will look fantastic ??




This mantel will be across the room from the tall bookshelves...
I think if I hang my black and whites above the mantel, it will balance the room....ya think??

We didn't even have a COFFEE BREAK on this work day, soooooo






we stopped, on the way home at the
DAIRY QUEEN
for this luscious WAFFLE CONE full of vanilla ice cream...

OOO, I AM SO
INNNN  LOVE.

    Talk about being motivated to keep moving is that gorgeous new home you are moving into! I know you are going to love it, that pool will keep the grands close by for you to enjoy. Lovely wall color and yes I think the framed prints will balance the room. I can't wait for the grand tour!

    BJ, I know you are eager to get this move completed. I think you are doing this the right way, moving in stages. You new house looks wonderful. I agree that space outdoors is perfect for a sitting area. You are going to enjoy this new space.

    It all sounds so exciting, not the work tho, just the opportunity to place your things in a new setting, the pool setting you will love day night it doesn't matter, it is always a great place to sit and a great place for bbq's

    I feel your pain! Going through the same thing, but downsizing and that makes it worse. Love your front door, your new house is beautiful. Congratulations, it will be so great when you get all settled. I don't think I ever will! :/ Hang in there.

    Oh, BJ, I am SOOOO darn happy for you!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I did the same thing here: I told Joe to do downstairs however he wanted to. It is HIS SPACE!!!! He has his pooltable and is building a bar. Your pool and outdoor space will be SUCH FUN!!!!!!!!!!! All your grands are gonna LOVE IT! The house is spectacular, and YES, I think the "wall of love" will be perfect over the mantle. XO, Pinky

    When we moved to our doublewide, I truly thought I would die. It was so much work...I told my husband NEVER again...unless of course, I get someone to knock on the door, say they are giving me a gorgeous home, tax free, and they will pay for packers, movers, and unpackers...hey, I might be old, but I can still dream!!

Well, the mounted hog head sort of made me cringe, but keeping your husband happy is more important! Is it a brand new house? It certainly looks it!     I LOVE your front door and that pool...just beautiful. Would you believe we had a pool here and PH broke it up and dumped it IN ON ITSELF because they didn't use it as much when the children grew up!
