Hi, everyone...
Well, here we are....
all ready to start another week.
A new week and a new
MAGAZINE COPY CAT CHALLENGE
over at DEBBIEDOO'S.
Not only that but there's lots more PARTIES
I am linking with for this fine Monday.
A couple years ago, COUNTRY LIVING magazine was showing this
adorable way to show off your FERN fronds.
They put them into cute bottles and what an impact !!
They put them into cute bottles and what an impact !!
WELL....
I had these 3 little cutie bottles that I bought at the local FLEA MARKET...
AND...
I just happened to have a FERN.
It was a BOSTON FERN and Country Living was also showing a Boston Fern...
but theirs was a different variety, I think.

I LOVE THIS LOOK ♥
Shiny silver tray.....bottles of FERNAND candles make for a delicious look.
I also love the look of all my tea lights in this large jar....COOL ♥
That little vintage cruet belonged to my mama..
I love holding something that I know HER hands held at one time....makes my eyes tear up, my heart beat a little faster and a severe feeling of HOMESICKNESS floods over me. It only lasts a few minutes....then....
ALL IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.
It's only natural for us to miss the ones we love so much...and how good it makes us feel when we KNOW where they are.
(Maddy, I say a prayer for you often)
♥ ♥ ♥
That pretty silver tray (probably silver PLATED) was a Goodwill find several years ago and I use it sooo much.(Maddy, I say a prayer for you often)

...catch the RED, WHITE and BLUE here ?
Don't you like the look of just about ANYthing in JARS ..?
.....like these POKER CHIPS (red, white, blue and green)
and the TEA LIGHTS...?

I always love the look of your arrangements! You need to come and arrange some things for me!
ReplyDeleteIt looks so great! I am a sucker for things in jars :) I've seen the ferns in bottles a lot lately and really like it. I'll have to do a copycat of my own one of these days.
ReplyDeleteI love your copy cat, bj...actually better than the original. Love the biscuits, too. He's a man all right!!! lol Have a good night- xo Diana

ReplyDeleteBJ I like your version even better. Love it! I like the tea lights in glass container, too. Biscuits have been stalking me today in blogland! ;P

ReplyDeleteHi BJness! I love your copy cat better and anyway, you always feed me! :) I love your biscuits and I use your recipe now!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
I love it BJ. You can make even a jar of tealights look so decorative. Yours is better than the original.
ReplyDeleteNice job BJ. Your copy cat was perfect and you made it just your own.
ReplyDeleteGod Bless.
You always make me smile Bj! Love the simplicity of these cutie bottles and the greenery. So pretty. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteAnother winner where I like what you've done better than the original. I am just wondering one thing...does Mr. Sweet ever eat hot food? ;D
ReplyDeleteBJ, I just love your idea of Magazine Copy Cat. The tea lights in the jar look lovely - what a creative idea! Your blog is so lovely. Would love for you to come over to see me at Favoritethingsdecor.com

Tomorrow I am going out and cut some fern leaves off and put them in some vases on my table. Great idea and I may even have some biscuits and gravy. Great blog and ideas.

It turned out beautiful BJ. Love the silver, clear glass, white candles and green ferns. Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteI think most people like shiny silver and . . . just about anything else. I like silver and BLUE. Surprise!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, BJ.
Everything in this post was beautiful. I agree with Mr. Sweet about the biscuit and gravy, yummy. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteSuch fun vignettes. I especially liked the idea of stuffing those jars with poker chips and the votive candles. Something unexpected is always a plus for me. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeletep
Beautiful copy cat:) I have ferns, bottles and a tray to put them on! I DON'T have a yummy biscuit like those, can I have one of yours? Enjoy your day dear BJ, HUGS!

ReplyDeleteThe ferns isolated in the clear glass look so beautiful! Good to see them isolated in their own beauty rather than just backing the beauty of flowers!
ReplyDeleteI rarely even try to have living plants anymore (except outside in nice weather). I have never had a green thumb and this house doesn't have anyplace to put anything that it would get the right kind of lighting. I do love the look...simple and elegant!
ReplyDeleteI have been trapped home with a very sick husband all weekend. He even took today off work and went to the doctor-I don't even remember him ever taking a sick day from work that didn't involve surgery or recovery. Diagnosis-flu. He is miserable and I'm trying to stay as far from him as possible! I did make homemade chicken soup and we are on our second pan of jello jigglers. He will only eat that and Triscuits. I would happily have some biscuits and gravy right now!
The copy cat challenge looks like fun. You did wonderful with your glass jars, fern and the pretty candle. I do love the jars filled with your tea candles and poker chips. I have one filled with glass marbles and seashells. Lovely post, thanks for sharing. Have a great week!
ReplyDeletebj your copycatn' is the cats-meow! Love these little clear bottles with the pop of green.Your beautiful treasures especially your mama's,priceless!
ReplyDeleteLove the way you put together objects for photo-op.
And I agree with Mr sweet, who wouldn't want those beautiful biscuits smothered in ANYTHING!
I tried to step up to the copycat challenge also.It was so much fun.

I think "Mr. Sweet"loves those biscuits & gravy is because they were made by your hands!!! Isn't he just the sweetest thing???
Fondly,
Pat
Hey bj ... you did it again!! Created a beautiful table with your copy-cat and made everyone in blogland hungry for gravy and biscuits.
