OOO, don't we just LOVE this time of year.
Last December, I played with DebbieDoo in her

and, as always, had so much fun.
In fact...I had so much fun LAST year, I decided on doing TWO
for this year...:))
♥DECEMBER OF 2011♥In fact...I had so much fun LAST year, I decided on doing TWO
for this year...:))
I copied POTTERY BARN'S
beautiful Christmas Ball Wreath.
Here is a craft I can do...just using my glue gun.
Theirs is on the left...mine on the right.
I used an olden wreath I already had and Christmas balls that I'd had for years plus a few from Hobby Lobby at their half-price sale.
...and.....I like MY shabby, chippy PICKET FENCE even better that PB's...:)
I plan to add more RED balls to it for THIS season....or maybe next.
(It is SOOO hard to decorate around moving boxes...)
I am getting more and more BRAVE with my HOT GLUE GUN...:))
It doesn't GROWL at me when I plug it in, now....

I put that little 4' cutie right into that

The smaller tree is easier for Mr. Sweet and I to handle....
...and I do believe I'll make some paper STARS to hang on the tree.
My Christmas go-to-store, HOBBY LOBBY,

I like your wreath better than PB's, and doesn't it give you a kick to know how much less it cost?
ReplyDeleteI love the basket idea too. I have always liked the look of trees in a cute container. This year I put mine in a big galvanized tub that I found at a yard sale for $3! I like how much room is under the tree for gifts and it has a cool farmhouse feel. You put me to shame with all you are getting done while packing to move!
Double the fun! Both of your copy projects look way better then the originals. You decorations look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou are on a roll now! Love your pottery barn knock off wreath. Looks so cute too outside on the fence. Thanks for joining in on the fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the tree in the basket. You have it decorated so beautifully. Your wreath is prettier than PB's. You copy cat really good!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of both look alikes! You did a wonderful job of duplicating the photos!!! Only yours look much better than theirs! Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove your blog look, at 7:30am est, on Dec. 10th. -gigggles- I give all those details cause I know you and I change our blog look, at the drop of a hat. ,-)))))))
ReplyDeleteWe have a wee tree too! And we leave it all decorated and wrap it up and take it upstairs, where it waits till the next Christmas. Aren't we the *smarty-pants-ses*? ,-)
Red basket to for the tree. Sweet idea. We seem to have *lost* our tree skirt and have to get another. A red basket would be sweet, but I know I won;t get that done now. :-)))))))))
Such a cute idea. I love the red basket idea, just perfect. Your tree looks amazing. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteOh, Bj, your wreath and tree are both so gorgeous! You really did an amazing job on both copycats. The wreath is so pretty on your fence and the little red basket with the tree looks amazing. Beautiful!

Sherry
What a great idea! I love your red basket and tree. Your wreath looks better than pottery barns too.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Penny
Really like your Christmas tree in the red basket. You out did yourself in making your wreath, very pretty indeed. Have a blessed day. Madeline
ReplyDeleteLove the little red basket and the wee tree. Just as soon as the grands aren't so insistent that we have a big tree, I'm going back to a wee one myself. Just as much cheer and charm!
ReplyDeleteFunny how some whimshy and fun can enlarge an object.
ReplyDeleteYour art always improve from your easy nature and delight in the simple things and what was a wee becomes a wonderful and big display of warmth and fun.
Thank you for sharing! If I were PB I'd insist to have you copy catting me.
Love You,
T
Very nice BJ. I always told you that glue guns don't bite!!! The glue does hurt and burn though (just ask klutzy me).
ReplyDeleteGod bless.
Oh, you put me to shame! How creative you are. I tell you the truth: I like your red basket tree BETTER THAN PB. Now, that's a mouth-full.
ReplyDeletebj you are the copy cat queen now! Love your wreath and your tree in the red basket. I too am opting for a smaller tree and maybe more then one!! I might just have too look for a basket!
ReplyDeletehugs, Linda
Your wreath looks so great! You did an amazing job. You're really getting me in the Christmas spirit with your posts lately :)
ReplyDeleteHow inspiring you are. I love the little tree, how perfect. Fantastic job of making a copy of the wreath.
ReplyDeleteSorry about the tablecloth and topper that it didn't work out for you but you have inspired me to get the sewing machine going and see what I can come up with. Op's that might be copying

Wow that is super cute and how cool is that with you finding the red basket! It was meant to be for sure!
ReplyDeleteI cracked up at your "shut the door" phrase especially since I read your newer post after this about your front door coming open by itself!! LOL... Your wreath on the fence turned out really great too! It's fun to gather ideas that inspire us from these magazines and catalogs!
I love your wreath better than PB and your tree is absolutely adorable. The red basket is wonderful for holding your cute little tree.
