Wearin' of the Green

Even though I am Irish, I don't have much, if any, St.Patty's Day decorations. Hmmm, maybe that needs to change?

  26. Love all of your decorations! They are so pretty. The pearls with the green glass...oh yes...just right.

I'm with you all the way about the icky lamb in...well, in my case, anything. I even tried it in Nova Scotia. I figured they knew something we here in Texas didn't about how to cook it. They didn't.

I put out my dinky little St. Pat windsock on the porch today. At least I know when a cold front comes in. ;)

  27. I'm green with envy that I didn't get one of those delicious looking cookies! It looks so festive at your place too. Happy St. Patty's Day!

  28. I love the Irish kissing balls. If I have the time, I'd love to whip one up before O'Lotsa Hair gets home this weekend. I haven't had lamb since I was a little girl. I don't know why, I just haven't so any Irish stew here is lambless as well.

And that Irish soda bread "recipe" sounds like even I could make it. Just sayin'...

  31. Hey bj,

It's so funny that St Patrick's Day is such a big thing over there and here I am, not far away from Ireland at all, and I'm not even celebrating! Shame on me, right?!!

  32. You may not have a lot of St. Patrick's Day stuff, but you have more than I do. I have none out.

And I am Irish. My maternal grandfather was born in Ireland, even.

Guess I don't like GREEN, all that much. Well, not the brrrrrright greeeeen, which goes with St. Pat;s Day. ,-)

  34. I am with you! No lamb in the stew. Not that fond of lamb. We had it once a week and gad, left overs were awful! I don't mind it butterflied on the grill though!
Your table is just beautiful with all your pretty greens and white. You did a great job, and I appreciate you doing being that you are not one tinsy bit Irish? :)
Thanks, BJ, you are a great gal and honorary Mavourneen! Slainte'
