DEBBIE DOOS CHALLANGE....

YAY.....

This is such a fun meme....I hope to see YOUR copy cat at the party.
The MINUTE I spied the following photo in COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINE,
I knew it was the one I wanted to copy.
It was SUCH a challenge and not one of my better copy-cats.......
but I had so much fun with it....

From COUNTRY LIVING MAGAZINE...
Isn't this a GREAT photo to copy ?

I didn't have the beautiful decanters Country Living has....
but after searching every square inch of SWEET NOTHINGS,
I came up with some decent replacements.....

Part of the fun of this meme is the challenge of  making your COPY CAT as close to the INSPIRATION MAGAZINE PHOTO
without spending money.
MR. SWEET kindly punched the holes and ran the jute string thru.....
(Country Living had RED AND WHITE BAKERS TWINE )
I searched everywhere for some BICYCLE cards like the ones used in the
INSPIRATION photo but....no such luck.
Well, I like THESE cards because Mr. Sweet brought them home from Vegas a few years back.
Cards make for a cute banner, don't you think.?

While looking for some pretty, clear glass bottles or containers that I could pour the TEA  in for my version of the CL photo,
I found this little vinegar cruet that belonged to my mama.....
lay a cork beside it and it just NEARLY
takes on the looks of a small
liquor decanter....
well....play-like....:))

Clear bottles with corks and jars,
silver  vase holding straws....
playing cards strung on jute string...
shipping tags with 'drink me' printed on....
All this makes for a cute picture...

Country Living sure knows CUTE !!
 ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

All these bottles and cards are making me feel just like a SALOON GIRL.....
"Tra La La, BOOM d'a"
(anyone left in the world that remembers THAT?)
AND, speaking of CARDS....
The Bunco group I belong to played their first game on the 11th and we had a blast.
HOMEMADE CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP
the BEST Chocolate Cake....
and the company of the ladies.....
MAGNIFICENT.
Thanks, ladies, for including me and for all the fun. !!
♥ ♥ ♥

This was sooo fun, DEBBIE DOO....
AND.....
January 23, 2012 is
NATIONAL PIE DAY.....
How SWEET is that !!

OK, ladies and gents....make someone you sooo love a beautiful pie!
and, REMEMBER, the bakeries make DELICIOUS pies, too...!!  ;>)

  11. I have to agree with the others. Your "copy" is far better than the original.

I had seen cards used in banners last spring and spent much of the summer collecting decks of cards to create with. Now to find an occasion to use them!

  16. Awesome - great minds think alike! You are so right about not spending any money, that made it fun! I have a whole bin of playing cards you could use, I opted out of them as an excuse to try my hand at making a banner.
