Hello, all...
as I've mentioned....
we had such a beautiful snow on Christmas Eve,
continuing right on into CHRISTMAS DAY....
as I've not shared these photos, I am still in
CHRISTMAS MODE
for awhile longer.

We didn't have a big snow....not deep at all.
The flakes kept falling but they were tiny....and the ground was still warm so melting was fast.
As is our tradition at SWEET NOTHINGS.
Mr. Sweet and I get up early on Christmas morning and drive to
our son and daughter's houses to.......
check Santa things out.
We started this when all the grands were little and anxious to show us what ole
SAINT NICK had brought them.
We plan to keep it up, adding GREAT-GRAND visits as need be.
AIN'T LIFE GRAND !!
Lights on our little holly bushes with snow glistening...and a bit of BLUE HOUR fun.
We didn't have a single red berry on our holly this year due to the severe hot weather and drought. Maybe next Christmas......
...we stopped on the side of the highway to watch this parade of Canadian Honkers, aka CHRISTMAS GEESE, and they were "honking"
like crazy. Such an added joy to our morning. ♥

It looks like an awesome painting.
Isn't her home just beautiful !!
When we walked in at 9 in the morning, THIS delicious fragrance greeted us and I could barely make it to the kitchen.....weak with hunger and that aroma of cinnamon rolls and breakfast casseroles WAS OVERWHELMING......♥
This is her brand new oven and it is sooo nice.
They just remodeled their kitchen and I hope to show you parts of it later. Beautiful

TO. DIE. FOR.
...tasted sooo good.
Big mugs of hot coffee and tea of our choice...
I am sooo pampered...and I love it.

I can smell the rolls. Pretty snow pics. We had snow on Christmas in 2010. Warm in 2011.

We had a green Christmas which is very unusual for us but it has snowed since so we had a white New Year! Now it's turned frigid and as I type this, it's -2F...brrrrr!

ReplyDeleteoh my , her home does look like a winter fairy tale. I keep seeing buns on blogs and my tummy is growling.. what a wonderful thing for you and Mr. Sweet to do- ya'll visiting them rather than make them bring the kids out.. You are great parents and I know your kids appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteThat is just SO sweet that y'all go to be with your grandkids on Christmas morning. That reminds me of when I was little. My grandparents used to come up from FL and spend the night. It's a memory I love. That's the way it should be! That food looks yummy! I think those casseroles look good too. Maybe you can get me the recipe!

ReplyDeleteOh the smell of those cinnamon rolls. What a delicious feast for the eyes and the bellies. Yes, I love her snowdusted home amongst the trees. We usually are blanketed with snow for Christmas. We have nothing this year. It just wasn't quite the same. There's nothing like fresh fallen snow!

Looks like we should have had our vehicles pointing south to experience a White Christmas. lol! In Michigan we had a brown Christmas. blah!
