WEST TEXAS HATS
casting a BIG SHADOW...
A memaw and her little sweet grandgirl,
DEEDS....
sitting in the hot TEXAS sun,
watching another grandgirl riding and roping in
a college rodeo. ♥
"FIVE little grandgirls, lined in a row... ♥
IN the shadows and the shade
of the TEXAS RODEO."
Grandgirl, COURTNEY, roping a calf. ♫
I have posted this photo before..........not sure why I like it....but I do.
All the action was waaay too fast for my little point and shoot camera so
I had to be happy ♥ with the photo I got.
Normally, I would delete one like this....but...
just something about it.......
xo bj ♥

ReplyDeleteSome beautiful grands you got there, girl. And having one of them in the rodeo, how cool is that. I love rodeos anyway, but I can't imagine how I could stand it watching my grand competing. Wait till I tell my grands about this.♥
ReplyDeleteChris
Lovely grands you have memaw. I can understand why you can't delete this picture. Trish
ReplyDeleteIt must be rodeo season everywhere. We just had a rodeo come through our town recently too.

I agree BJ, there is something very pleasing about that photo. The blur of colors really show the action but I can still tell what it is! Happy Saturday:>)

ReplyDeleteBeautiful and very cute girls!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos!
Have a nice weekend, kisses dear:)
i very much like that shot too! sometimes the 'mistakes' are very artsy!
ReplyDeleteThis New Englander thinks of hats when thinking of the Lone Star. Hats, tall and with distinction, to keep the sun off on a hot and dusty day (of which you had so many this year). Cowboys and straw hats - our impressions of Texas up here...As hats are worn a lot by Patti these days, we are warming up to that style!
ReplyDeleteNice shot in motion - I feel the movement, so no need to apologize - the effects are great!
Great shadows and love the action shot. Happy SSS!
ReplyDeleteHPS, BJ. This is just an adorable post....you are so lucky to have all of those grand girls...and they are so lucky to have you for their meemaw!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE that action photo, too! It looks like you did a real creative Photoshoppy thing to it!! :)
Hope you got some rain!!
L, Dana

ReplyDelete~Linnea
To my fellow Texan, cute site!! Loved your photos. I am a new blogger and now I am following you. I'd love to have you follow back! Looking forward to more posts!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures. The hat shadows are awesome. The hats are hanging but the shadows almost appear to be a person wearing a cowboy hat....intersting!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI like your last photo.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Those Texas ten gallon hats cast a Huge shadow!Like the last shot just the way it is.
ReplyDeleteLove the photo too. Very cool shot!
ReplyDeleteI like that roping shot too. It shows action!
