Here is a little trick with soft peppermint sticks. I learned this as a Brownie leader nearly 40 years ago. Before we took little hikes, we pierced oranges with these soft peppermint sticks. We filled large plastic bags with these oranges. As we got thirsty while hiking we "sipped" the juice through the peppermint sticks. BJ, that was the most delicious and refreshing treat along the trail.

I also loved this post! My dearest friend since childhood is coming in just a few days and I have not seen her in over four years. She was with me through the deaths of both my husbands. I honestly do not think I would want to live on this earth without her.
