One of the things connected with my blogging that I enjoy sooo much
is taking favorite photos and making my new headers for the blog.
We are all different. (thank goodness)
Some of us like the more professional look of skilled Blog Designers while
others of us prefer the more personal headers that we make ourselves.
They are ALL beautiful.
I just happen to enjoy making my own.
That being said, however, doesn't mean that I might not use some fabulous photo from the net
from time to time.

Roses from my garden ALWAYS make a beautiful header in MY eyes.
CHRISTMAS headers are really fun to make..
I remember making this one several years ago,
using the SNOW EFFECT on PICNIK..a free and fabulous site to make your photos SING.
The above is one of my very favorites.
I just love it and I love the pretty writing offered at PICNIK

THIS one was really fun to make, too.
This is another favorite..
could it be the beautiful pink rose?
The best I remember, this was the LAST PINK ROSE of the summer, last year.

This is also a favorite...
I'm guessing because I love black and white so much.
I love the SILVERNESS of this one.
I want a BLUEBERRY MUFFIN....
RIGHT NOW!
I think THIS one is my all-time favorite.
♥
I make headers often so I have a whole file full.
I have MANY more than I am showing..
Everytime I get lucky and get a nice photograph, I generally make a header
and file it away for another time.
It's fun to be able to pick and choose.... depending on my mood for the day.
Sooo,
MERRY CHRISTMAS
in MARCH.
Come on over for a CHERRY TART
and let's talk about it.
Love, bj
Beautiful headers, but the new is a great, I lake it!
ReplyDeleteKisses and happy weekend dear.
bj I make my own headers also. I have changed mine many times in the past year of blogging. I really like the one I have now and have committed to leaving it for awhile. I love how yours changes all the time. hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteAll you headers are wonderful BJ. I love coming here just to see what the top of your blog will look like!
ReplyDeleteI make my own headers too. I need to make a new one for my Lavender Hill Studio blog. I have had that one forever!
Hugs,
Penny
I have always loved your headers. I love that you change them up all the time. As a matter of fact you have been motivating me to sit down and do something with my blog. Right now it is just plain ol' vanilla ice-cream like. I could at least make it French Vanilla!!!
ReplyDeleteLove all of your pictures.
Have a wonderful weekend Bj.
Hugs
I love how you change your banner all the time. It keeps things fresh.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday! La
I always enjoy checking out your new headers. For myself, I don't enjoy making them very much - so mine stay the same for a very long time unfortunately. I'll just enjoy yours!!! Sally
ReplyDeleteYou do so have a talent for it.
ReplyDeleteMe, not so much. I'd just be happy if I could get mine centered. :)

BJ, you are funny...I actually never even tried to put a header on my blog but maybe I'll have to begin. What I love is the quote about being able to fit into your earrings in High School. That cracks me up!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy~
Funny you should mention this because I'm in the process of trying... TRYING... to create something new for my blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm so inept that I really should be in a freak show, but alas, I am trying.
I love all of yours.
Oh so cute headers. I have got to learn how to do them. The "Amazing Grace" one is my favorite. I like the idea of changing the header yours are always so cute. I must try it. Thanks for sharing. Hugs, Karie
ReplyDeleteI can always count on you for a smile... or a sweet reminder.
ReplyDeleteYOU are my friday favorite today!

Hello sweet lady...
ReplyDeleteOohhh...you have always had some of the prettiest blog headers, BJ!!! I really enjoyed looking through a few of your past headers...each one is just gorgeous! I do have to say though...I love the header that you did with the all of your signature "black and white"...with those pretty black and white teacups under the cloche! That one just stands out to me! I'm with you...I really enjoy making my own photos...in fact, I could just spend hours playing with photos and photo effects, etc.! Thank you for sharing some of your beauties with us...such a treat, sweet friend!
Have a fabulous Friday!
Love ya,
Chari
I like to change mine with the season. Gets boring with just one all the time!
ReplyDeleteI have always adored every single blog header you've made for Sweet Nothing's. It wouldn't be BJ's blog without your special touch!

Deanna :D

All fun photos BJ! I have to check out picnik, it would be fun to play around with some pics! Happy Weekend:@)
ReplyDeleteHello dear BJ,
ReplyDeleteI love all of your pretty blog headers. It is nice to create your own, depending on your mood. It's always gfun to come by to visit! Have a great weekend!
Hugs,
Debbie from NJ
All of your headers are wonderful and show off your creative styling and photography skills! I just can't pick a favorite...they are all fantastic. My header is sort of carved in stone. I did the little vignette myself but the rest was a design I paid for. Sometimes I think I should make a change...not sure. ;-D
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Love to make my own too, I've been tempted to go with the designer look but I think I would get to tired of it to quick, love all of yours!
ReplyDeleteRondell
Oh golllly yes, I couldn't stand to keep the same blog look, for long. And when people pay for a designer one, I can see why they don't like to change it.
ReplyDeleteBut still............... How do they *stand* to have the same, same, same blog look, for so, so, so long?!?!? :-)
I know. 'Cause we are all different! :-)
Picnik has pretty fonts for blog names in our Headers, hu? But betcha', like so many things offered on the Net.... They don't make 'em, for use on a Mac. I'll look though. I'd really like to change the header print!
Gentle hugs...
What a neat post. A trip down memory lane! I like the one with the silver, and the one with the Liberty Blue and muffin best - and the Christmas ones too! You're a very creative blogger!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Beth
You do a great job BJ with all your fun headers. I like making my own too..it really is fun!
ReplyDeleteI don't know how to make a header! The one I have on my blog was made by my "blog angel" as I call her. I wish someone could teach me how to do this!!! Yours are wonderful!!!!!!!!!!!! XO, Pinky
