I ADORE DROP LEAF TABLES...

TABLES...
don't you just love 'em...
I've always LOVED

They are so versatile..and such great SPACE savers...

This is my coffee table with drop leaves on each side.
How fun it is to be able to DROP either or both sides for more
"moving around" room ...
and then to pull the sides  back up to serve GOODIES on the table.
I've had this wonderful drop leaf  HARVEST dining table for over 45 years..
It was the very first dining table MR. SWEET and I bought after we married.
It served us so well as a dining table...
Now, it has been painted a CHEERY CHERRY RED
and Mr. Sweet made a beautiful hutch top to go over it..
It is PERFECT in our dining room...
*
Adding a hutch top to this table really was a great move for us..
Not only do I get to keep the table that I love
but now it is a beautiful piece that adds lots of interest to our dining room...
I JUST LOVE IT....

Thanks so much, Mr. Sweet...
You KNOW how much I have enjoyed this beautiful hutch top you made....

I think THIS table is adorable...

So................if you're in the market for a new table...
be it a dining table or an occasional table..
think about a drop leaf...
I LOVE 'EM..

  3. BJ, I love that red drop leaf table with the added hutch. Your Mr. Sweet sure did a good job of building that. It is just gorgeous. My mom has a very old drop leaf table that she uses behind her sofa. She has had that as far back as I can remember.

  4. Love the red one.

This summer I attended many estate auctions and a couple of the auctions had a drop leaf table that is round when the leaves are up and when you put them down the table is triangular. I loved them, but did not bid on them. If I see one this next summer, I think I'll bid. La

  26. Aha, I know what this post is about! You're going to get something else real good from CSN!

When I first started out on my own, my parents gave me one of their old tables, and it was a drop leaf. I loved it so much because it was perfect all folded up for just my daughter and I, but it would stretch halfway across my living room when I had the leaves up and another added in the middle! I'd probably still have it today if my ex hadn't ruined it in a move when he took it all apart. It never slid together right after that.
