Hey hey BJ, Just got home from a morning of treasure hunting and didn't find much but a fabulous old cast iron water sprinkler. How are you this morning? I loved your post today and how you did food and the pink cups and the big fight all tied together. :) Now what do you mean by parched peanuts? I loved boiled peanuts but not sure what parched ones are. I am thrilled you joined the party. :) Happy PS
ReplyDeleteYUM! Your posts are always so darn delicious! HPS...Marcia

Hi BJ! I LOVE all things peanutty!!! So, do you raise your own peanuts or buy them and parch or boil them? Your Aunt Lillian's crock is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI sure wish I had that chicken salad croissant and a peanut butter cookie right now!!! I'm starving! Oh, and I LOVE those bright pink SOLO cups, too! I'm gonna have to look for them in our store!

Yum, peanut butter cookies sound good! I also make peanut brittle but only at Christmastime. Love the pink cups! Happy Pinks, Ms. BJ!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,

Delcious cookies!
ReplyDeleteHapppy Pink Saturday!
Oh I can smell the peanuts parching now! My Daddy used to parch them and they were soooooooo good! I remember how he grew them, we would pull them up, shake the dirt off, he would wait until the right time to put them in the pan. I can see him in my memory shaking that pan to get them all turned. Thanks for that memory! Love to you and hope you have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteI may have to move further West and drop by for some of your good cooking. I love roasted peanuts and buy a bag once a month. The lunch meal is just my thing. My sister and I go to a tea room most every Saturday. This is kinda what they serve. I would love a plate of yours right now.
ReplyDeleteBeeeeej! You would be sooooooooo proud of me. I made some fresh chocolate chip cookies today. Ham n' bean and corn muffins, too! Of course, I eat the dough as I am baking them. I know, I'm not suppose to, but I have been doing that my whole life and I'm still kickin' Your peanut butter cookies look yummy!
ReplyDeletexoxo

ReplyDeleteIt's peanut time here in south GA. Lots of digging going on. We prefer ours boiled...yummy. That chicken salad looks awesome. That is one recipe I just can't seem to get the hang of. Thankfully a local eatery has fruited chicken salad that I love and eat it often. Love the pink cups!
ReplyDeleteOh, that chicken salad looks yummy! Beautiful pink post, BJ. ~ Sarah

ReplyDeleteAm I the only one in the world who doesn't have the three ingredient peanut butter cookie recipe? You MUST share it! :)
ReplyDeletePS I'm coming to YOUR house for lunch.:)
I never seem to visit here that there isn't fantastic food making my mouth water! Love peanut brittle. I haven't had a peanut butter cookie in ages. Love the crock!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
Good Morning BJ. Long time to see huh? LOL. Well I have been back blogging for a little over a month now, but I only blog on Sunday's right now. Those Peanut Butter Cookies sure do look good and would go good with my cup of Coffee I am drinking right now. I love Peanuts as well. Used to when we could afford it, we would go to a few Restaurants that would serve Peanuts from a Bucket and you would just put the hulls on the floor. It was real neat. I love the old crock that you put yours in and I used to have a Great-Aunt Lillian, but she has gone to Heaven now. My hometown's Football team had Pink Towels in their game this past Friday night and the Coaches wore Pink-Shirts showing their support for The Cure. I thought that was so nice of them to do. Hope all has been good with you and yours. Take care and come visit me soon.
ReplyDeleteLove and hugs,
Karen H.
The cookies and chicken salad look delish, just the sort of food that I love to eat!
ReplyDeleteParching peanuts was a new term to me too, the things you learn whilst blogging.
Hope you have a wonderful week.
Maggie
Interesting story you got here. It would be great to read a bit more concerning that theme. The only thing it would also be great to see on this blog is a few photos of any gizmos.

Hi bj! Thanks for stopping by. That IS a little coffee pot that you saw on my stove. Indeed it is!
ReplyDeleteI love the goodies you bake and always wonder where my desire to bake and cook have gone, at least for the most part. I enjoy it when I do it...I just seldom do it.
I guess I would rather come here and just LOOK! :)
Love,
Mona
Neat post! Love shelled peanuts, too!
ReplyDeleteHappy Pink Saturday, dear BJ. You make every Saturday - and every day - special.
ReplyDeleteLove your new light fixture. It looks fantastic.
I didn't know there are pink Solo cups. I need to add them to my shopping list. And, I love chicken salad. Did you save some for me? And, I'd like a cookie to go with it. Please!
You are always making something delicious! And yes, let us pray for a cure!
ReplyDeleteDo your pecans get jealous of those peanuts in that great looking crock? :)
