IT'S A PUMPKIN PARTY...

beware....long post...
I ALWAYS get so carried away with all the fun...
THE GREAT PUMPKIN PARTY
*
BETH at FOOD AS ART is having this  amazing and fun party...
Please go by and see all the wonderful
PUMPKINS...

AHHH.....PUMPKINS....
all different sizes...all different colors....
*
While I like the PUMPKIN colored ones a lot...
I love the white pumpkins...just something about them that's pretty....
Can a pumpkin be elegant ? AND....
can you love a pumpkin ??
Shelia might say.....
"Why, you bet your PETER PETER PUMPKIN EATER, you can !!"
You just KNOW I have to throw a little food in somewhere...right ?
More of an adult Mac and Cheese...just the color of the fall leaves...

I just addded these to the MAC 'n CHEESE and it was delicious...
*
**
*

Pumpkins, candles and burlap....
The sweet PUMPKIN PIE candles make me hungry....for whipped cream..!!
*
My little blue chair that looked black in other photos....
and a cute pumpkin cookie...
      We love fried okra...
O HONEY
but we shouldn't eat too many fried foods...we're OLDEN, ya know..
so I just put it in the oven and just before taking it out, spray a bit of OLIVE OIL on it and turn on
                                                                        the broiler...
                                        O, it isn't as good as fried......but it's good !
*
I'm getting excited about halloween...
but....all of our grands are too old to want to
trick or treat...
well, except for DEEDS...
and I do love getting the little ones to
trick or treat our cottage...

Everyone that just KNEW I'd have a BLACK AND WHITE POLKA DOT pumpkin,
                                        raise you hand.......!!! tee heeee
                                                                          ...can't help it...
*

This has been a great party...
I had fun with all these different pumpkins....
and I still have more for
ANOTHER post, a little later on down the line...
*
I nearly made a pumpkin pie for this fabulous PUMPKIN PARTY...
it's just too close to THANKSGIVING and we'll have 2 or 3 pumpkin pies then...
sooo, I made little tiny Pumpkin Tarts, with, OF COURSE.....whipped cream...

  2. I have done a long pumpkin/halloween decor post too, stop by and have a look! I know what you mean about the white ones, they are super and look fab when filled with flowers or autumn foliage. I tried to grow some this year but as usual we didnt have enough sun! the slugs had them as soon as they appeared too. I will try again next year though.

  8. Raising my hand.

I love the polka doto the best, but I think they're all great. I am like you in that I love them in every color and any way you display them. Pumpkins are just fun.

I think those little tarts at the end look great too. (And not a pumpkin comment, but your okra looks so much "neater" than I ever make it. Mine glooby globs up as it fries. Sigh.)

  31. BJ, you never cease to amaze me. I bow to you. You always make every thing look just absolutely perfect.

I have a few smaller white pumpkins, but I have been on the hunt for a large one. No luck yet, but I won't give up. And, oh how I would love a polka-dot pumpkin.

I love your idea with the tarts. My mother loves, loves, love pumpkin pie with whipped cream. If I send her to your house she will be sucking those down. I got a Cheesecake Factory pumpkin cheesecake, and she ate two pieces yesterday morning. What can I say? The lady loves pumpkin.
