  10. I could use a two-seater too:) I have a sweet swing that my Daddy made for my 14 year old granddaughter when she was little! They have all had fun swinging on it and I wouldn't take a million dollars for it! I'll post a picture soon!

  19. I have not seen a two-seater swing before. That is what you should ask you better half to build. Sit together in the cool of the evening, give thanks for having each other.

  23. Hi bj, I just commented on your pink post. it would have been better if I could have one of those banana splits. HA!

Love your swing post. It reminds me of that line in the country western song"just a Swingin'" Smile. Your matching chairs do look comfy. The twofer swing is so cute. Mr Sweet, are you reading this???

  26. a double swing? Never seen that before. We don´t have that kidn of swings anymore. They are considered dangerous.

  27. The porch swing is lovely. A couple can sit and contemplate, or converse or relax under the power of the gentle swinging motion. The younger generation is too quick, forgetting how to relax and really relax...nice porch!

  33. I'm still around, BJ! Sadly, I see that Dot from Picket Fences and Heather from Rue's Peanut Butter and Jelly Life no longer are. Sadness!

Anyhow, I finally got around to making another post. I've been so busy working and with spending time with my honey.

I love swings!!! I am trying to convince my sweetie that he needs one for his big front porch, but that's not going to happen. There is such joy in sitting on a swing and just letting yourself fly! Great post.

  37. I have loved to swing ever since I was a little girl. I would ride my bike down the street to our school playground and spend many afternoons just swinging and dreaming all by my lonesome...loved it. We also had a front porch swing as I grew up and when we built our house 30+ years ago I knew I wanted a big porch and a swing. I've spent many hours in that swing...thinking, reading, praying, crying, talking to my grands, sharing quiet time in the rain with my hubby....I just love it! Every home should have a swing!

  43. BJ, I thought I left a comment earlier and may have just missed it when I scrolled down. Love that two seater swing and those pretty chairs. The one thing I greatly miss about enclosing our porch with windows and doors is that the porch swing was taken out. I sooooo miss my swing! I've always loved the joy of gliding through the air in a swing. Great post! ~ Sarah
