Good morning BJ...I was just happily reading along on your blog until I came to a screeching halt about your dad's cafe in PLAINVIEW!
ReplyDeleteI went to Ash Elementary in Plainview in 5th & 6th grades... I lived with an aunt & uncle at Halfway, Tx. ...were you old enough to remember any of this?
;-) Bo
I love the name Blue Moon Cafe. And, I would love to go to a diner for a nice breakfast this morning, but instead, it's off to work for me.
ReplyDeleteI liked that movie, too.
I hope everyone feels much better very soon. Now, don't you go be getting sick.
When we go on vacation, we look for all the local cafes to eat at. One of our rules is that we cannot eat at a chain restaurant that we have in our hometown!
ReplyDeleteI just loved all the blue cafe!
ReplyDeleteGinger

I wonder what it is about blue and barbecue? We have a place here called Red Hot & Blue that specializes in Memphis style BBQ. And where did the term "Blue Plate Special" come from I wonder...

ReplyDeleteRoberta Anne
BJ... thanks for making me hungry this morning... fortunately it's almost lunch time! great post.. .those little diners are so great. wish more of them were still in business1 Dixie
ReplyDeleteJean, I'd forgotten all about PV's Bluebonnet Cafe! You do bring so many good memories back, Girl. I didn't know there were so many blue cafes. Hope Stacy and her family feel better today. Do hope you don't get it. You surely got a good exposure. If you get it take a couple of teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Don't laugh! It really does work! An RN friend of mine told me about it and I tried it when that antibiotic made me so sick and lo and behold it stopped it right in it's tracks. Neat post today, lady.
ReplyDeleteLove,Martha
Love your cafe blues!
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday!

Hi BJ. Thanks for visiting my blog and for the sweet comment. Oh my goodness, as a photographer I love finding those old cafe signs. Looks like I need to come to your neck of the woods. And they look like the food would be so good.

BJ,
ReplyDeleteGreat Blue Monday Post. I love diner food (comfort, sigh)! Did you take all those pictures yourself?? If so you must be like one of those tornado followers!!
The good 'ol stuff is going around here too, I've been spared so far! Sending prayers your way.

Jane
I love cafes and hometown diners, too!
ReplyDeleteHi BJ,
ReplyDeleteOh my - what a fun post on the Cafe Blues- your music is just perfect for the cafes. Diners have the best food - we always look for a Diner when traveling in my home state of North Carolina - seems like they all serve the best food and home made pies and yummy coconut cake.
Thank you for visiting my blog and for your lovely comments. For me, the joy of creating is being able to share my art and little garden and I would be delighted if you want to share my blog with your readers.
Thank you.
Blessings,
Erin
