"A pie is a baked dish which is usually made of a pastry dough shell that covers or completely contains a filling of various sweet or savoury ingredients. Pies can be either "filled", where a dish is covered by pastry and the filling is placed on top of that, "top-crust," where the filling is placed in a dish and covered with a pastry/potato mash top before baking, or "two-crust," with the filling completely enclosed in the pastry shell. Pies can be a variety of sizes, ranging from bite-size to ones designed for multiple servings."
BUT IT MAKES NO DIFFERENCE BECAUSE...
these are all for YOU !

Chris
Oh yum! Could you like just give me a small sliver of each?
ReplyDeleteNeed to make a pie today for sure.
Betty
Ah, thank you. I would love a piece of pie with my morning coffee.
ReplyDeleteOh BJ, they all look so good! If I had known it was going to be national pie day I wouldn't have baked those cookies last night, lol. Wouldn't a big pie and coffee party with all of us bloggers really together be fun!?
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet to make pie with and without sugar!
ReplyDeleteI've got to get busy. Promised my family pie today. I think college boy is even coming home for that!
I totally forgot about National Pie Day. I did it last year. I don't know how I could forget this year. I would love to have a piece of pie they all look so good.
ReplyDeleteI remember hosting Pie Day last year and that emblem was made for me by a blog friend...what an enjoyable thing pie is...but, what I want most now is a big piece of chocolate pie with a glass of milk *licking lips*
ReplyDeleteBlessin's♥
Yum...all of your pies look absolutely delicious! I'd love to share a slice with you. I enjoy my pie with coffee. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI'll take one piece of that pecan pie, and one piece of that lemon meringue pie, and... do you have any custard pie?
ReplyDeleteI did not realize today was National Pie Day! I don't really have time to make one today. Maybe I will just have to stop and pick up a pie from somewhere on my way home from work. Hmmm....that sounds like a yummy idea!
ReplyDeleteI don't usually like pie but this post has made me want a piece of lemon meringue!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh...those pies look so super yummy and delicious. I especially love the pecan pie with ice cream! You are quite the baker! Enjoy pie day. Amy :)
ReplyDeleteI had no idea we had a national pie day, now there is verification that pie is critically important...and I just knew it! I think that pie can also cure the common cold, you know, like chicken soup? I can break a diet for medicinal purposes can't I?...as a preventive measure I think I better have some pie today :)
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena

ReplyDeleteThat is JUST what the whole wide world needs to do STOP and have a piece of pie..... what a wonderful world it would be...

Monica
YUMMY!!!!! I'll have a slice of each. I did not know there was such a thing as National Pie Day. This excited my boss (who sits behind me and I share blogs with him). He is going to stop on the way home and get a chocolate pie and he likes his with milk. I'll probably cheat and buy one too.
ReplyDeleteI want to come to your house! I can smell those pies now!
ReplyDeleteMalisa
Hi BJ, It's Maryjane! LOL! Thanks for your sweet visit and I enjoyed a piece of pecan pie! Yum! Happy Pie Day to you to! Now off to add you to my favorites!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Maryjane
Hello BJ!
ReplyDeleteLook at all these lovely pies! Oh how I just love pecan pie, is there anything better!:o) But I must say lemon pie is running a close second, because I love it too!
Smiles...
Beverly
I too LOVE pie. I have a recipe for a pie with a pecan crust. You can make it either chocolate (my favorite) or banana. It is sooo good. I'm not as big on fruit pies. I only eat apple...no cherry, nor have I tried any other fruit pie!!
ReplyDeleteHope you are feeling better today.
Have a happy weekend.
xo The twins
Wow! First brittle and now pie! You are overfeeding us BJ but I'm sure not complaining!
ReplyDeleteAnother thing that goes good with pie....High Heels! Woo Woo! I know I'll be lookin' pretty good in my high heels and my plate of BJ's pie. I know my husband won't be able to take his eyes off of me...or maybe the pie!
Thanks for the sweet post BJ! Your hospitality is second to none!
Hugs,
Deanna :)
I love pie! My favorites are Dutch apple with a crumb topping, lemon meringue, cherry, pumpkin, strawberry, and sniff, sniff, I loved all of the specialty pies at the now closed Baker's Square restaurant chain!
ReplyDeleteI need a pie fix after reading this post!
The sugar free chocolate pie sounds good. Did you really make a chocolate pie with no sugar? If so, do you have the recipe you don't mind sharing?
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, BJ.
OH MY GOODNESS! I want a slice of each one, please! Oh gosh, now I've gained 3 pounds just looking! I was gonna say 5, but I deducted for the sugar free chocolate! Yum! Yum! :) Diane
ReplyDeleteOh BJ! I so enjoyed my pie with a Coke! So glad you know how good that can be. Thanks for such a delicious treat!
ReplyDeleteBJ, now you've done it. I am Jonesing for a piece of pie. Any pie and I don't have any. A cyber piece of pie just doesn't do it girl. sigh. It doesn't count that I had a piece of cheesecake about an hour ago. I WANT PIE. In our house we had pie all the time when I was growing up. My dad LOVED pie. Me too. I have apples but it is too late to bake pie now. Goes to show you I should have visited much earlier. Happy National Pie day.^_^
ReplyDeleteHugs...Jeanne
