When it became apparent tonight who our new president would be,
I received a phone call from one of my 11 year old granddaughters....
She said, "Memaw, are you scared?" and I laughed and said, "Yes, I am scared that our McCain has lost the election!"
She said, "I just wanted to call and tell you that GOD has told me all day long today that
everything is going to be alright. HE has been beside me all day and HE is still right here. I just wanted you to know that HE has a plan and not to worry; HE is going to take care of everything."
******************
My baby doll is only 11 years old and has already had the blessing of being so close to
our sweet Jesus...
Praise!
I thanked her for calling, telling her how much better she made me feel; knowing for myself that, yes ....
HE IS GOING TO TAKE CARE OF US...
just like always !!

So, putting a smile on my face, i got all dressed up for you in my amazing
HALLOWEEN SUITE that Pea made for me...

Hi BJ
ReplyDeleteThis is so encouraging that someone so young has such strong faith! Bless her...we needed that didn't we?
Out of the mouth of babes... What a great word. Now, we gear up to trust and to pray like never before (at least in my lifetime.)
ReplyDeleteGod, Bless America!
B.J.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this word of encouragement,my heart was heavy and the Lord spoke through your special granddaughter to remind us just who is in charge!Thank you Lord for your hedge of love and protection, Amen

ReplyDelete**Sorry about the first post. It's late and my grammar got away from me**
ReplyDeleteMy heart sunk when I watched Fox news say McCain would NOT be our next President. Being from AZ, I felt a special connection with this election and was more emotional than the last. I came to your blog knowing you'd have something inspiring on here and you did. Thank you!! Times like this is when my faith will matter most.
Thanks BJ...thanks for being there for us tonight and trying to get us to smile with your costume. Four years, wow...seems like forever right now. :-( Susan
ReplyDeleteHappy Wednesday dear Super BJ!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Sue
I as hoping I would wake up to a different outcome. I am so afraid of the next four years.
ReplyDeleteGood morning BJ, we are up early too. My dh wanted to know about a few of the senate races. Your granddaughter is very wise for her young age. God bless her for beautiful faith and love for her grandma. We do need to support our country's leaders. Something the democrats have not done in ages. I believe we can be the better person and change things. United we stand.
ReplyDeleteI love that you had a good laugh this am. I saved that for today on purpose. LOL.
Love, Jeanne
That's so sweet that you grand daughter knows you so well.
ReplyDeleteThat costume is hilarious!!
We must now move forward, and continue to support our country. United we stand, divided we fall. I believe it is the duty of an American to support their president. The majority of people certainly have not done that in recent years.
ReplyDeleteWith God on our side, we can succeed.
I am disappointed too. It is in these times of disappointment that we have to have faith that God is in control and we cannot see the future asd he can. It has to make your heart so glad to hear that kind of faith from your grandaughter! We just need to keep praying.
ReplyDeleteDon't our grandkids know the moment we need to hear their voice, God Love Her..
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Chris
Hi BJ
ReplyDeleteWell, we need great leadership now, I hope this will happen for us!
I woke up this morning with a heavy heart, but reading your post has lifted me up. Your granddaughter is very wise for one so young. When you can give her a big hug of thanks for me.
ReplyDeleteGood morning BJ.,
ReplyDeleteOut of the mouth of babes. What a sweet little encourager you have and what a blessing. Even though our great nation is about to become an obamanation God is still on the throne and reigning.
Have a blessed day...and thanks for praying for my family.
xo Cori G.
Morning BJ...we all woke up to a world that is changed today. Your little granddaughter is wise beyond her years. Thank her for me!
ReplyDeleteHugs, ;-) Bo
Good morning BJ -
ReplyDeleteYour granddaughter has spoken to the hearts of all of us. We can't ever forget that God is really the one in control. Mr. Obama needs our prayers. I believe he will find that he can't do all the things he promised when he becomes President. I believe he find that things are far more difficult than he ever imagined and that he will learn there are things involved he could never have known ahead of time. And I believe we need to pray for him that when he takes on the difficult responsibilities he will turn to God for help.
~Adrienne~
So sweet! Out of the mouth of babes!! Blessings...
ReplyDeleteWe must continue to pray...for our president (Bush) and for our president-elect (Obama), and it wouldn't hurt to pray for a hard-worker, Senator McCain.
ReplyDeleteBottom line HE is always our leader....smart little girl.
ReplyDeleteOut of the mouth of babes!! Aren't you glad we have our Christian faith!!
ReplyDeleteSo, funny!! I see smwlling coffee wrote the same words. I just noticed them as I was finishing typing.
What a sweetie your grandbaby is and what wisdom indeed :) Okay now about that picture - too cute!!! Thank you, I needed that!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Dena
Hi BJ!
ReplyDeleteWhat a blessed grandaughter you have! Tell her she made me feel better, too.Praise the Lord for her wisdom! Also, a dear friend of mine reminded me this morning of what Jesus told us- " I have overcome the world" John 16:33
God is in control, so we have nothing to fear. Amen, dear BJ!!!
xxxooo Holly girl~~~~
I know, BJ...disappointment, but we do have to remember who is in control of this whole universe & it's not a man!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to see my lamp project. That is a rub-on transfer that you see that came from Hobby Lobby. It really is easy to cover a lampshade, so give it a try.
You listen to that smart little girl, BJ. She's got it right. Don't let the fear mongers steal your joy.
ReplyDeleteIt is so great that an 11 year old has such words of encouragement. My heart is heavy this morning but all we can do is stay positive and hope that the new President will be a good one. God WILL be watching over us and taking care of us during this time of change.
ReplyDeleteTo answer you about my chalkboards~ we had some particle?? board in the shed and my hubby cut it out to fit the frames. Sanded and then spray painted several coats of chalkboard paint on it and voila!
Hi BJ ~ yes, it is in God's hands now...it is a sad day today. But I will trust in the Lord.
ReplyDeleteHugz,
Michele
I will continue to pray for the leaders of our great country. May God Bless America!
ReplyDeleteHello BJ
ReplyDeleteFrom the mouth of a babe comes such wisdom...simply amazing. Oh BJ I wish that so many could read and understand the words of your dear sweet granddaughter. As I have told so many of my friends...God is still in complete control, and that word has been confirmed by your sweet little grand daughter. How encouraging! I can hardly wait to share her words with all I come in contact with today! Now that our new President has been chosen, let us keep him and this great country in our prayers. And as your little sweetie said...everything is going to be alright!
Smiles...
Beverly
Hi BJ, What an encouraging post. Your grandaughter sounds precious. I'm sure everything will turn out okay. He will have lots of help... :) ~Warmly, Melissa
ReplyDeleteWe can all have a smile on our face today no matter our politics because we know WHO is really in control. Sally
ReplyDeleteBJ, You have a precious & wise granddaughter. You can tell she's been raised by the best parents and grandparents. Her words blessed me. Thank you for the post and remember to be strong in the Lord and the power of His might! Patty Ann
ReplyDeleteBJ,
ReplyDeleteI believe your sweet granddaughter is correct. We are all in God's hands.
Blessings,
Mary
What a sweet and SMART GIRL!
ReplyDeletewe need more like her.
Very smart girl you have there!
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet girl you have, BJ!
ReplyDeleteYour grandsweetie is really smart for her age. She's right, but it's still very hard to accept. While I want to be re-assured that he will do the right thing...I'm just not convinced. I've actually felt very sick in the stomach today about the whole thing. I call it my Obama diet! Maybe it is good for something! Now about your photo...hilarious! Thanks for the laugh...I needed one!
ReplyDeleteHow sweet of your granddaughter to let you know everything will be alright.
ReplyDeleteAnd what a funny costume! Happy day to you.
Hugs,
Donna
What a great post, wish I had your/her faith.
ReplyDeleteTruly a sad day in America.
Sally
OH MY GOSH...you crack me up with that outfit you're sporting. Who knew you could work it like that woman! I guess all we can do is pray and hope that the change that is coming will be a good one. I will give him the benefit of the doubt and wait to see if I was wrong. It's all we can do. I really truly hope I was wrong and in 4 years I can eat crow. I plan on giving him more respect than the dems gave President Bush.
ReplyDeleteAs you know BJ this is a happy day for me, I just came here to say how touched I was by your sweet words at Marys, Barack Obama needs our prayers yes, he needs prayers for his safety and for his ability to bring this divided country together. I hope you all can start by not being afraid, there is nothing to be afraid of. I have 100% confidence in Obama, now listen to your granddaughter! LOL! Have a great week BJ! xo Sue
ReplyDeleteHi Bj :)
ReplyDeleteIt is a sad day indeed, but your daughter made me smile. What a bright young lady she is :)
(((hugs and love for you)))
ruzzer
Awwww, your granddaughter sounds so sweet, so great she has such faith at such a young age.
ReplyDeleteIsn't it so wonderful that He is always with us, always in charge, no matter what?
ReplyDelete"And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3
They always have such faith!
Evening, BJ! Oh, how wise your little granddaughter is! She is exactly right - it's gonna be alright! Worrying and fretting over the situation just put a wedge between us and God. He's in control and He's gonna make it alright! Bless you for sharing this.
ReplyDeleteNow, to that costume! Honey, I always knew you were a super woman!
Woo Hoo! Look at those legs! lol
Be a sweetie,
shelia;)
What a precious story. She certainly got it right. She has obviously had wonderful parenting and grandparenting. Lucky little girl. Lucky grandmother. laurie
ReplyDeleteWow, she is a woman of faith already! It's funny that I wrote you something so similar, that God is in control and it's all in his hands. Still so very cool to hear this from such a young girl!
ReplyDeleteKady
You've got a very smart young lady in that granddaughter of yours:-) And you, my dear friend, look terrific in your cape and boots! hehe xoxo
ReplyDeleteHey my friend....I just have one question...how come they're being so nice to you and so mean to me lol....gosh people just can't take a joke these days. Oh well...good thing we're better sports than they are. I can't even imagine how they would be if McCain had won...do you think they would be saying "lets unite and come together and be supportive" ...ummm...I'm thinking no. I will pray for Obama too...his success would be everyones success. I've got my fingers and toes crossed...and boy do I walk funny like this! Good night!
ReplyDeleteOh God bless her little heart . She was worried about you BJ. What a sweet little treasure she sounds like.
ReplyDeleteI know when I heard McCain wasn't going to get it, I literally got sick. And I cried with disappointment. *Sigh *
It is all Gods plan and we will all win in the end .
Well, the sun did shine... And we are all still here... That's how I feel today. But I sure didn't feel that way Tuesday night....
ReplyDeleteIf we, as adults, showed have as much wisdom as these precious children do, maybe we wouldn't be in the mess we are now. Just food for thought!
~Liz~
Nikki is right---the folks here were all pretty nice to you! :)
ReplyDeleteI just wished I had read your post on Wed.. I was sick to my stomach all day over the end result.
Your smart gr. girl and your great blogging friends are right.
We have to keep our faith in a higher power and keep on praying. I pray for our country, our current Pres. and our future President and most of all, our citizens. While I am very unhappy with the person our country elected as the next Pres. I pray he can fulfull many of the lofty promises he made in his speeches. We'll be a better place if he can pull it off. If he doesn't, then we'll just remember that in 2012.
