I've been told...and I'm sure it's true that there's always long lines at PINKS...
Well...YUM !

I wonder how they came up with the name PINK'S for a hot dog stand?
and, speaking of PINK, be sure to go over to HOW SWEET IT IS and see all the other
PINK'S .....

Happy weekend, bj
*i have changed my blog background back to a SOLID color...
all the fluff and foo*foo tend
to be a bit too much for me to handle comfortably....i wanted a place to
'rest my eyes'.....
"Hey, I heard that....someone said, "Yep, remember....she's old !!"
*HAD TO CORRECT FROM SF. to LA. CALIF.
SORRY!!
I love little troll doll ( I have a teensy one, that's from "back in the day"). Those are great looking hotdogs. Happy Pink Saturday..have a great week.
ReplyDeleteGood morning, sweet friend. I will be able to post something pink for a very long time. I just post one thing a week so it will last. ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow, what could be better than a pink hot dog stand?! I love hot dogs. I like mine topped with chili and coleslaw, but every one of these look so yum.
Good Morning BJ... Great Pink post... I have heard a lot about PINK'S Hotdog Stand in San Fran but I didn't know about it when I was there... I Love that city and plan to visit it again some day soon... then I'll try Pinks... I heard about the long line and all the STARS that go there for hotdogs... Great psot... LOVED it... Have a fun filled day...

ReplyDeleteBJ, thank you for leaving comment on my blog earlier. Oh my, pink hot dog stand? You see, there is not many hot dog stands in Japan and I want my hot dog now... By the way I have now five thimbles in my shop, please pop in and have a look, there is a link in my blog. Happy Pink Saturday. Chloe Patricia
ReplyDeleteThat hot dog looks delish!! Cool pink post.
ReplyDeleteI hear ya about keeping it simple--my eyes get confused reallllll easy! :)
ReplyDeleteOMG that Hot Dog Stand is just making me droooooool. Those food photos are just cruel punishment to us,BJ! Now all I will think about is a hd and onion rings--yep, even before I've had my breakfast!
YOU have a great Pink Sat! L, Dana
Hey, I've even heard of Pinks Hotdog place up here in the wilderness of Canada! We have a popular spot like that called Webbers where everyone flocks for hamburgers. Happy Pink Saturday.
ReplyDeleteGee I never knew there was a Pink's near SF but I've been to the one in LA and yes, I did have to wait in line!
ReplyDeleteMy sister's family stops at Pink's on their way to the Hollywood Bowl. Yes there is always a line there. I have driven past it in my younger days but never stopped for a hot dog. Now that I'm a blogger I might have to go and stop and wait in line and eat one :0)
ReplyDeleteI must be out of the loop, I have never heard of Pink's hot dogs. But that is the great thing about Blogland, I learn things I never would have otherwise. The simple background is okay by me. As long as we can read the print. LOL! Hope you have a Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteFun trip to "Pinks" - I like an occasional hotdog, too. I like the black background, as it makes the pictures really stand out. Sally
ReplyDeleteHi BJ,
ReplyDeleteIs Pink's in S.F. or L.A.? If it's in L.A. I'll go have one for you!
Have a fun pink weekend!
xo Cori
I love all your pink photos, especially the vintage shop signs!
ReplyDeleteAnd a Happy Pink Saturday to you! And yes, Pink's hotdogs are THE BEST *smiles*
ReplyDeleteI remember the troll dolls. Pinks looks like a good and sloppy place to eat. Happy Pink Day!
ReplyDeletewonderful post just makes you hungry, hope you have a pink week.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Judy
What a fun place and the food looks delish. If ever you go come by for me...I live pretty close to SF. Happy Pink Saturday to you...hugs, Linda
ReplyDeleteI'm so in awe that you dare change your blog around...I would surely delete my whole thing and make myself crazy! And now...thanks to you...I'm craving hotdogs for lunch!
ReplyDeletePinks kind of reminds me of the Doggy diner in San Francisco. I don't think the food would be as good as that food looked, but it is a landmark and looks to be situated similarly. They must be from the same era. Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteOOPS...WOULD YOU BELIEVE...I MADE A MISTAKE ON THE CITY HERE...SOOO SORRY..HOPE YOU DIDN'T MAKE A SPECIAL TRIP TO SF instead of LA for a good, ole hotdog....:O)
ReplyDeleteok...got it corrected....
love, bj
Lord have mercy, those hot dogs look good and I don't every eat dogs!
ReplyDeleteI live in California and I've never been to Pinks. Now, I'll have to put it on my list. Those hotdogs look yummy!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful pink weekend!
Hi BJ, I love the Pink Hot Dog stand and the food there looks so delicious! Thanks for sharing this Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteLove, Ann
Good morning, BJ. Thanks for telling us about the hot dog stand. If I ever get the chance, I'll eat one, cause I love a good hot dog! Looked back at a couple of posts I've missed. As always, I enjoyed them. You kind of make me want to redecorate my sewing room/guestroom. It's such a mess, but I'd rather spend my time blogging than worrying with it. Love ya, Faith
ReplyDeleteHappy PS BJ
ReplyDeleteI remember your beautiful balloons going to balloon heaven. I loved that post.
Now the Pink Hot Dog Stand is very cool. As long as they don't serve Pink dogs. You never know in L.A. lol
Hugs from Canada
Claudie
P.S. My site seems to be sick only 2 visitors boo hoo
I put my daughter in the wallpaper and it didn't like it.
Good golly Miss Molly... I am sure that tray with the 3 dogs and fries are of several people but I could eat the WHOLE thing... man that looks yummmy.
ReplyDeleteHugs
Linda
Very cute! The pink stood out, and the hotdogs made me hungry! Happy Pink Saturday! Suzie
ReplyDeleteLove the photo of the pink shop. Can't say that I like hot dogs though let alone much meat at all, but the photos were tempting. We have a hot dog place here that when I go to, I say "3 with everthing with the dog on the side". I take the dogs to my husband, he's a giant meat eater.
ReplyDeleteSee ya next week
Sondra
Great Pink Saturday Post, BJ!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
Hello BJ, 'Pinks' is my age but don't tell anyone. Those hotdogs look so good. I love a good hotdog but rarely eat them. Your post looks good with the plain background. I like it better too. Your new header is very nice. Now that would be fun to do. Your little troll is cute as can be.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend and get some rest. That is funny about the tea last night. I had a cup of green tea and then couldn't go to sleep until 1:30 am. LOL.
Love and hugs...Jeanne
Hi BJ! How are you today? I got your email and I was so happy to see that you are from my hometown. Go Raiders!!!
ReplyDeleteI am sitting here watching an old movie I recorded the other day called Beyond Tomorrow and sipping some hot tea with honey. I lost my voice last night from all the screaming I did at the game last night. I sound like a un-rosined violin bow scraping across the strings.
I'm going to finish reading the rest of your blog and drink gallons and gallons of hot tea and honey. Sounds like my kind of Saturday!
Lubbock girls rule!!
Deanna :)
Hi BJ
ReplyDeleteI've seen Martha Stewart and Rachel Ray do shows at Pinks! Looks like such a yummy hot dog.
Happy Pink Saturday!
Hugs, Pat
This is hilarious! Thanks for the laugh. I needed it.
ReplyDeleteHi BJ.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking me on a virtual trip to L.A. for a visit to Pinky's hot dog stand. Looks like a totally fun and cool place to visit. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend. Happy Pink Saturday!!

ReplyDeleteHA HA HA... Well there you go... I may never get to PINK'S if it is in LA... I don't care to much for that city... I thought it was in San Fran too... maybe that is why there are so many Stars that go there... Have a good one...
ReplyDelete(((HUGS)))
Donna
Hey BJ, Oh man, those hot dogs look good. It's funny this is the second time this week I have come across a blog about Pink's hotdogs. I am hoping for a trip to LA after Christmas and now I am thinking I need to go to Pinks. HPS ~ Lynn
ReplyDeleteHey BJ...ohhh you been re arranging over here....looks great...I love hot dogs and fried onion rings. Hope you are having a great weekend girl...I have been cooking all day trying to get things done for Thanksgiving...I am ready for some Christmas lights!
ReplyDeleteWell shoot. I am so full but...hmmm. I think I need a hotdog all of a sudden! A pink one!
ReplyDeleteThere is a wee little shack near us that promises Chicago style hot dogs. It was written up in the newspaper so I went to try one. OMG! They are loaded with veggies like tomatoes and cucumbers and the bun has poppy seeds. They are soo delish :)
I've never been to Pink's, but it'll be on my to do list when we summer in CA. Looks so good.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Chris
Oh, that made me SO hungry! That looks delicious! laurie
ReplyDeleteBoy does that troll bring me back. I actually wore one as a necklace in the 70's. Goodness. I actually did! Hee hee Happy Pink Saturday!

ReplyDeleteThank you so much for posting the Christmas Fair Badge. Happy Pink Saturday, I love the Pink balloons. My sister and her husband just flew to LA for a wedding. They lived there for a very long time before moving to North Carolina. A Pink Hot Dog Stand? Only in LA. Karen
ReplyDeleteMorning, BJ. I'm a little late on my commenting. Had such a busy day yesterday!! Oh, I had a troll doll with blue hair when I was in high school. I thought he was the cutest little thing!!
ReplyDeleteNow, I would have one of those pink hot dogs!! Looks like a great place!
Be a sweetie and have a beautiful Sunday - I'm off to church!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia :)
Yep, Pink's is a wonderful place for L.A. Dogs ... and if you're a hotdog fan and you ever DO get to L.A., here are several others in the San Fernando Valley that have AWESOME hotdogs:
ReplyDelete* Cupid's (2 in the Valley)
* Tommy Burgers (6 or 8 in Valley)
* Law Dogs - Van Nuys
* The Hot Dog Show - Toluca Lake
Be sure to stop by and pick up a free copy of my new cookbook, Finish The Feast ... Leftover Turkey They'll Want To Eat.
Oh BJ now I am wanting a Hot Dog..good grief and its only 10am here..great PINK post girl..thanks for coming by mine...have a great Sunday girl..hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteOMG I just had a hotdog, but it sure didn't look like that!
ReplyDeleteWOW! I love that place, wish I could go! I like hotdogs but they have to be loaded! I love your new welcome picture!
ReplyDeleteAll right BJ....I was totally confused as I entered you Sweet Nothings page and saw nothing but red. I thought I was in the twilight zone again...(Sweet Beverly having changed her Tea Time and Roses from light pink to gray). It looks great in red though. Sometimes you have to try different colors to see what the best fit is. I've tried retro backgrounds and such but since my eyes are very sensitive to bright and zany I've stuck with the gray and pink! :P
ReplyDeleteI'm going to add you to my favorites list today. Come visit me tomorrow afternoon around 5 p.m. I will have an award for you.
Hugs,
Deanna :)
I remember when the troll dolls were in - where do the years go? Pinks looks like great fun and great food! I love the new look of your blog.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Sweetie
