I've not shown my octagon shaped, creme dishes to you yet.....
Excuse me, but have you noticed I seem to have a bottle of WILD WINES WINE on my table at all times? OH, MY.....
actually we DO NOT drink all that much wine. In reality, we have a glass most evenings with our dinner....
i promise !!!!
all those wine corks you see at times...I ordered a hugh box of them off EBAY.
Daughter, daughter in law and myself wanted some to look COOL......
promise !!!
and daughter in law is making the neatest bulletin board with hers.....
I have had these dishes forever and ever, Amen...
many have been broken over the years but I do find a piece every now and then at thrift shops.
I have always loved the creamy color of them..... and I dearly love this French Country tablecloth that is, in REAL LIFE, a king sized sheet, thrifted, at that...works perfectly!!
*************************************************
Well, ladies, I have shown you just about all of my dishes now so I won't be doing but about one more TABLESCAPE TUESDAY.....
...at least until I can get some new dishes...which isn't going to happen any time soon unless I find a thrifty set somewhere. And, believe me,
I am ALWAYS on the look-out for more pretty dishes.. I sure could use some BLACK AND WHITE....OH, YEAH, BABY!!

OOOOO.......

ReplyDeleteJeanne passed a "Boo-ed" to me, and I am passing it to you. Please come by my post today to pick it up, and them pass it along to anyone you want to share Halloween fun with.
Beautiful. Love the tablecloth.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I think my rear end is growing just looking at the pound cake & butter!!
Come visit me with a recipe if you can. :)
Just beautiful as usual. No, I've never had a breakfast like that. BJ, you've been Boo-ed! Come find out what that means. :-O
ReplyDeleteThe pound ccake sounds delightful, but I've just received medical advice to cut down on my intake of sweets! Sigh...
ReplyDeleteMorning, BJ! Oh, how I love those beautiful dishes! You just don't know how to anything but the right way!! lol That is a smart thing to do, using a sheet for a tablecloth. I used to do that at my children's birthday parties. That was just so my nice tablecloths wouldn't get messed up! Now I'm gonna be on the lookout for some that I can use with my pretty dishes!
ReplyDeleteYummo on the warm pound cake with butter!! That a beautiful dish it's on, too.
Oh, BJ, you're just the sweetest one. I used to get such a kick out of you on RMS. I remember you posting your dinner one night and making me so hungry. I love your fun way of life, so keep it up. You've honored me today with your compliments. I'm gonna hold on to 'em all day long!!
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Good morning BJ, Love your dishes and unlike my post I prefer wine to any other drink. It is nice to have a little wine and it is usually a glass before dinner.
ReplyDeleteBack to your tablescape the tablecloth/sheet is awesome. We have so many resources from our thrift stores. I just love a bargain. Especially with todays financial scares.
Come over, it is snowing here. I posted my flowers bed. sigh.
Hugs...Jeanne
Beutiful tablescape BJ and great idea... using a sheet for a tablecloth.
ReplyDeleteTake care, Virginia
Girl Pound cake is a have to here..about like cornbread. We can't do without it. I butter anything that will hold it hehe.
ReplyDeleteYou'll know there is nothing like butter!
I heat my muffins and butter them too.this coming from a girl that my mom said she would catch in the fridge eating butter off a spoon when little.
Love those creamy plates. They are perfect for mixing and matching as well as standing on there own! And your table cloth made from a sheet!! P E R F E C T~~
ReplyDeleteWell, BJ, another beautiful table, I don't how all you ladies can do so many different settings. I could do maybe two. LOL.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Chris
BJ,
ReplyDeletenice like always. Please stop by I have a nice award for you.
Have a sweet day. Suzy
Love those dishes! They're versatile enough to make many different tables out of. *hint hint*
ReplyDeleteI multi-task linens for my tables too. I've used quilts, bedspreads, sheets, curtains as runners...if it's in the color I need, then it's open game!
I have loved seeing all your tablescapes. If I ever get my house back in order I will have to do some for myself. This kitchen project is taking a while as they always seem too.

Morning BJ...I love the shape of those pretty dishes...I was trying to do some back reading..oh girl I read about your sweet Marilee with tears welling up in my eyes and then when you said you went to Wal-Mart and bought a package of nylon panties tears started pouring down my face...oh sis that sounds like something I would do....that was beautiful...it's funny how the simplest things remind us of such beautiful and loving memories...have a great day sis...love you!
ReplyDeleteHi BJ,
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you ended with that poundcake cuz it's a little too early for wine here :0)
Love the bold tablecloth with your white dinnerware. Beautiful...
You're out of dishes!! Wow I never thought I'd see the day! Heck you can borrow the plates (you inspired me to buy) hanging over my guest bedroom bed. They don't match but I just know you'd come up with something marvelous..and they're even black and white!! Have a glorious day my friend!
ReplyDeleteHi BJ...I think our 'puters are somehow related too...Mine has been hexing me for the past couple of days...so frustrating! Anyway, I want that tablecloth/sheet...
ReplyDeletehaha. I also use a K-sheet sometimes on the table. Hugs, Bo
Loved your creamy dishes. That is a great color!! I haven't had pound cake with butter for breakfast; but when we first got married, Bob wanted hot chocolate cake (no frosting needed) smothered with butter. It is pretty yummy! Sally
ReplyDeleteOh BJ I love those creme dishes; they're gorgeous... and so perfect for an elegant Christmas table.... I read the post about Marilee, and I'm adding my sincere sympathy to the rests already given.... may Gob be with you and yours....
ReplyDeleteLots of hugs from all of us who love you.
cielo
I love your table scape! It has an Italian look to it. The witch on your header is adorable too. Makes me wish I had a front porch.
ReplyDeleteOh BJ your table looks great girl very pretty..thanks for sharing..hugs and smiles Gloria
ReplyDeleteBJ, the ruby red will be beautiful, one of my SIL had a bunch of those dishes, she had parties at her house, I think, to help her get more of the pieces. I couldn't afford them though. LOL
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Chris
The pictures of tablescapes are so pretty! Hugs, Bobbi Jo
ReplyDeleteThat sheet is just a fantastic idea. It makes such a pretty tablecloth, and I'll bet it's really easier to launder than most tablecloths (no ironing?). I'm going to start looking at sheets in a different way. Thanks for this fabulous idea. laurie
ReplyDeleteOh, you would have to torture me right there at the end!!! Ummmm, pound cake with butter! Love your cream dishes...just lovely! Ok, since we are running out of dishes, we have to start mixing our sets together to create new tablescapes! :-) I have 3 sets left...but I cheated and posted Lynne's tablescapes 3 times, otherwise I'd be out, too! :-)
ReplyDeleteOkay BJ, wheres the pound cake? I 'd like my slice on any one of these lovely settings...great post!
ReplyDeleteSandi
Hi B, I thought of you today when I went to the Dollar Tree. I was just glancing down the aisles when something sparkly caught my eye. So I slowly backed my buggy up to see and there for $1 each were the prettiest cut glass plates. I know I will find some use for them over the holidays. I may even try to make a pedestal cake plate like Cindy's, using a glass candlestick, some glue and one of these plates.
ReplyDeleteYou set a beautiful table - wind and all. And warm pound cake - Mmmmm! Now I am craving it! ~ Robyn
ReplyDeleteOh you got my favorite color of dishes on here today. Love them BJ.
ReplyDeleteThose plates are so simple and elegant. I love them with the red tablecloth! This setting looks warm and rich and so fallish! Lovely!
ReplyDeleteKady
B J - Great blog. Yes, I am voting for McCain/Palin. Happy Pink October!
ReplyDeletemmmmmmm mmmmmmm good! Warm ANYTHING smeared with sweet cream butter for breakfast! Or lunch....or dinner....
ReplyDeleteIt's all about the butter, now isn't it?
However, I have found that as each year creeps by, all that butter tends to collect in unsightly places, so I now recommend gluing such indulgences directly to your butt and gut -- saves wear and tear on your digestive system.
:-D
Warmly, Ronda
Very neat idea of using the sheet as a table covering.
ReplyDeletePound cake sounds scrumptious. I have some sour cream that needs to be used up. Maybe I should use it in a pound cake. Thanks so much for the inspiration of what to do with it.
