A DRIVE BY........

I discovered a new housing addition in our town that just BLOWS MY MIND...
All the houses are NEW VINTAGE and now I know what kind of house I would buy if I ever
WIN THE LOTTERY !!
You get the magnificent looks of an OLDER HOME but it's all BRAND NEW !
love it .....
JUST take a look at these BEAUTIES...

They are built VERY close together...
BILL wouldn't like that part of it but......
I WOULD JUST LOVE IT !!
Now, I'm not planning on BUYIN' one of these lovelies...I'm just sayin'.........

OH...HONEY !!

All this and painted BLUE to boot !
*SIGH
MY FAVORITE !
HAPPY FALL....

FOR SALE !!! *double SIGH

IS THIS WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF??

We're talking 'need a maid' here.... this is so HUGH !
Note that precious fence..no PLASTIC here !!

Yellow must be a popular color because there were lots of yellow beauties....
ooo and i love yellow !! Especially yellow HOUSES !

*sighhhhhhh

*covet

The developer even made the streets narrow like they were in the "old days".......

It was so much fun, driving through this adorable neighborhood....

ladies were outside, tending their landscaping and they were so friendly and would wave and smile....I told one that I was taking photos for my BLOG and she said, "Well, I don't know what a BLOG is but I am going to plant some new shrubs so will you come back and take another picture?"
I said, "You bet your boots I will !!"

excuse me, now...i have to go buy a lottery ticket !!!!

  2. Hi BJ.
Those homes are beautiful. There's nothing like the classic good looks of an older home in style, and the convenience of having everything brand new rolled into one package!

    Thanks for sharing.

  4. Don't those just tug at your heart! Those of us who love nesting envision those houses in our minds for sure. I have a favorite house (just one) that I kind of stalk. Must admit that I drove by it all times of day and night. Now, if there was a whole neighborhood I would be arrested!! :)

  5. Oh, BJ, I love these houses! There's a place in Chapel Hill, NC that is the same type of development, that looks like an older neighborhood but new construction. Love 'em!

I'd have to win the lottery too to be able to afford one!

  6. Morning BJ...Loved all of these beauties but if I had to choose just one...it'd be the Victorian with the semi-circle porch...you know, when I waa a realtor (100 years ago) it was known that a yellow house would sell quicker than another...Hmmm ;-) Bo

  10. Good Morning Sunshine... Wow what magnificent homes... I have always dreamed of having a home just like one of those... Well maybe when we ever stop full timing in the RV I can get something like that (much smaller of course) out in the country of North Florida. So for now I guess we can just pretend that is the neighborhood of Blogville... LOL LOL

    Have a Simply scrumptious Day...

    Hugs,
    Donna

  31. Hey bj! Girl, you found my dream neighborhood...hey, if we win the lottery, we can be neighbors. Ya know what, Robert is like Bill in that he would not like neighbors this close, but I'm like you...I think I would love it....being able to take a stroll around the quaint streets and admire everyone's flower beds and porches . That would be so fun! I really enjoyed this post. Hope you have a great weekend!

  32. I love those new "vintage" homes. Can you imagine all the vintage wonderfulness without any leaky pipes, old wallpaper in need of stripping or drafty rooms? Heaven. Thanks for coming by and entering to win my jewelry giveaway. Good luck winning your choice of the gorgeous blue necklace. That's one of my favs too. God Bless, Celene
