...funny little fairies.....

12/8
I am joining in on all the CHRISTMAS FUN  parties this month...
today is Sherry's
NO MINIMALIST HERE
Holiday Dining

Being short on time due to so much needing to be done around Sweet Nothings for the
CHRISTMAS holidays,
I am bringing back a really FUN
HOLIDAY TABLE from last year.
My newest readers haven't seen it and  I think it's fun to look at a
SECOND TIME AROUND for others.
This day, I was just having fun playing around on a
CHRISTMAS centerpiece for my long dining table...

I was having such fun with a bunch of thrifted items from
SALVATION ARMY THRIFT STORE..
some of them being VINTAGE.

Everything was all WHITE...

...WHITE AND SILVER...
snow and ice.
and lookin' gooood...

UNTIL...

THIS little cutie fella, AKA

The  CHRISTMAS FAIRY...
and

..the SUGAR PLUM FAIRY (I just blogged about him..he's my fav......)
just JUMPED upon my table...
right smack dab in the middle of all the
WHITENESS and SILVERNESS..

Right by the wicker sleigh full of holly and berries and Christmasness...
and they looked SOOO good, in all that white surroundings..
I had to let them stay...
ALAS..that blew my
ALL WHITE  TABLE....♥♥heavy sigh

Of course, you might know that it didn't take long
til the fun REALLY began....
♥ ♥ ♥
They jumped right up on those amazing WHITE CERAMIC DEER...
the male deer has only ONE antler and he was 50 cents..
his little doe was perfect so she cost the big sum of 75 cents..:)

♪♫ RUDOLPH the RED ANTLERED REINDEER ♫♫♪

...RIDE 'EM COWBOY

...and, pretty SUGAR PLUM jumped on the other deer.

They just looked so cute on the deer.

He always looks like he has a secret....
maybe a secret about how wonderful MARK ROBERTS makes ALL his
beautiful fairies.....?.....

"Every time a child says, "I don't believe in fairies," there is a fairy somewhere that falls down dead."  ~James Matthew Barrie, Peter Pan

The fairies and their long, narrow feet....:>)

Now, these little fairy boots are a whole lot cuter to me than cowboy boots...

THE MERRIEST CHRISTMAS, EVER..

Remember these ?
I've blogged about them many, MANY times...
Canned biscuits (I use the big GRANDS) rolled as thin as you can...
Can of TART cherries...NOT cherry pie filling.
Add sugar to taste to the cherries (I like mine REAL sweet :), a little flour, if they need thickening, and heat.
Fill biscuits, fold over, crimp closed with a fork.
Melted butter, a sprinkling of Cinnamon and more sugar.
Bake in 350 oven for ABOUT 15 minutes..
ALL OVENS VARY so keep checking yours.
I just these...hope you do, too.
LOVE AND MERRY CHRISTMAS,  bj

Love the fairies among all the white and the fact that they rode the deer (well, who wouldn't want to, really?).

Loved seeing your repost. I certainly had missed it the first time around. Your table reminds me of Narnia when it was always winter never spring until Father Christmas showed up signaling that things were about to change. Oh, yes, I enjoy the magic of Christmas...the Narnia magic of it all.

BJ, you always make me want to laugh - I love coming to read your posts. All white?? I'm glad those ferries jumped onto the table because they are gorgeous and their little bit of gorgeous colour makes everything pop.

BJ, a revelation has happened here. My husband must be a fairy of sorts because he has the long and skinny feet, size 14. He is terribly mischievous too. Your table is gorgeous and the touches of red make it all the better. Our daughter played "Dance of The Sugar Plumb Fairy" at her college piano recital Sunday. Happy Christmas. ♥O

I have missed being here with new baby, 2 year old and Mama staying with us..or me being there.

Anyway, this is just darling. I have several Mark Roberts fairies, too...and I just adore them. One hangs over my stair newel post for every Season...and the little grands are in awe of them.

Those "bisquits" look decadent you.naughty.girl...xo Diana

If someone says they don't believe in faeries, one of them falls down dead? Oh my, that's just awful! Feed them one of your delicious treats and they will perk right back up!
Love your table, it's like a winter wonderland!

You are just having too much fun with those fairies lady! ha! I like the humor added to your table setting. It definitely makes it more playful looking. I like the added pops of color with the white anyway.

Such a pretty tablescape, of course I love white and silver anything and everything!

I'm trying to catch up on a bit of blog reading today. I'm not ready for the holiday, but close. I have to do some baking and cards over the weekend, but other than that...I'm in pretty good shape. It is cold where you are...that must put you in the mood! I've been thinking of you too. Take time to breathe...

Sooo pretty, BJ! At first, when I only saw silver and white decorations, I thought I was in the wrong place. But when your fairies popped onto the scene, I knew it was your place. ;)

Thanks for linking to Time Travel Thursday again. Be sure to come by tonight, and see yourself featured.
