PICTURES

I'm sure am glad you stopped in today..
I just fixed breakfast..
we can have it on the coffee table in the living room.
Pretty fresh, supermarket flowers...
Scrambled eggs with cheese..
Grands biscuits with RED PLUM jelly...
Hot and strong Dunkin Donuts coffee.
This is one of my favorite
blue and white transferware plates.
St. Peter's Church
I won it on Ebay about 8 years ago.
Textured by PhotoScape...
AWESOME !
Some bloggers have stated that they preferred a REAL book to their KINDLE....
Altho I LOVE having all my photos on my computer..
All nice and organized and named,
so that they are easily found at any given moment...
I STILL love my albums...
I like holding them in my hands.
I get them out ever so often and just
drift back in time......
Like most of us, I have them from  the OLDEN days..even before I was born..
childhood photos of my mother...but none at all of my dad.
All those, I keep in my little vintage trunk.
I have a lot of little albums that are on a shelf of my wall of bookshelves
for easy retrieving....
and...here I am with my handsome cousin.
The year....1956
All the time we were growing up, I told him I
wanted to marry him and for him to wait for me.
He was 11 years older than I.
He said, "Jeanie, I'll wait forever."
but......he didn't.:(
Of course, when I got older, I realized we could Never marry because
our kids would have been idiots ! Haaaaahahaha.
just jokin'....  actually, he was a 'cousin by marriage'.
and I loved him dearly...
STILL DO....he is living in England now.
This little fella is now 20 and his little, tiny baby sister,
just coming home from the hospital where she was born,
is a teenager now.
His name is DREW...my golden boy
Her name is BRYNNA...my cutie pie girl
 OOO, yes...here they all are...
standing outside the delivery room door, waiting to hear
the new baby girl cry so they would know
ALL WAS WELL...
O, the sweetness these memories hold for me...
As I drank my coffee and looked at all these memories,
I thanked my FATHER in Heaven once again for
the blessings HE has showered on me.
I remember this day, over 20 years ago, as if it were yesterday.
Our baby girl, STACY, was getting married.
That's her dad and I with her...just before she walked out to be given to the man that loves her
to this very day and has been such a good husband and father..
We love JENT as if he were our own...he IS our own.
ONE of the biggest honors I've had in my lifetime is when
STACY LEIGH asked me to be her Matron of Honor.
I still cry my eyes out when I think of it..
and I am squalling as we speak !
*
Two other honors bestowed on me...
My sweet son named a daughter after me..
My sweet daughter named a daughter after me.
I keep TRYING to tell ya'll that I am BLESSED.
SEE !!
Thanks for having breakfast with me this morning...
and taking a tiny stroll down
Memory Lane
with me.
Sorry if I seem sentimental...but that's just the way I am !
I am linking with
RUBY TUESDAY (Mary, you have to look hard for the reds today..:)I know I'm stretching it...
Thank you, hosts.
And, thank YOU for stopping by.
xoxo bj

No need to apologize for being so sweetly sentimental. Opening the picture albums will do it every time. What a sweet picture of you with your cousin. True confessions: I had a crush on at least two of mine. Thank God we never married or "our children would have been idiots." Bwahahahahaha...you're so funny!

I can't eat breakfast with you, but your photos are "good enough to eat." :-)

Oh my, you were in love with an older cousin too?!? Mine was named Joe, and there were more like 13 years difference, between Joe and I though. So I was always a "little girl" to him.

Joe was the younger son of my Mother's Aunt Josie. When my Mother was in her 30's, he was about 18, and I was like 5. With that age difference between them, he was more like a younger brother, to my Mother, than like a cousin, to her.

I remember when he came home from the War. -sigh- I was so shy, because I figured he must have changed so and ... I didn't know how to act. :-)

And I remember that my Mother/Father had him paint our house, that summer when he came home from the War. It helped him "get his head together." And go on with his life.

He passed on at much too young an age, and has been gone for so long. But left a lovely family. Thank you for the sweet memories.

Perhaps you'll spur me to dig out some old photos, and post them too. :-) Again, thank you.

♥ Gentle hugs ♥

Love the fact that you do not have Word Verification; I did snatch you widget and added it to my side bar. Thank you for being here bj.
Wishing you a happy week.

What a lovely post. I am at the moment in the process of transferring old photos from the eighties that have faded thanks to poor storage on line, but I am still loath to part with the originals.

A good breakfast - eggs for protein, Grands and jam for yum! We will need our ore to give us to look and remember nice old memories. A pretty lass in 1956, the style and grace of a young woman. Your family is so beautiful, our children not yet ready to marry (thankfully say we :)

Family memories are the best!
