bj's BED AND BREAKFAST

We were so delighted and full of thankfulness when TWO sets of out-of-town cousins came
for our 50th anniversary party.
*
They came in on Friday and left on Sunday....
and it was total FUN the whole entire time...
**
One of the guest bedrooms was all ready and waiting
for our company....
I just love this little tiny bedroom..so cheerful and welcoming for our guests.
*
O...there's that adorable HOME and HEART handmade pillow from
KATHY over at KATHY'S CORNER..
She sure has some lovely things in her ETSY shop....bet you could find something wonderful
for your cottage...or a gift maybe.
*

but the other bedroom was *UNDER CONSTRUCTION
and not anywhere NEARLY ready.....
I only have a FEW pieces of the items I need to make this room
into a GUEST WORTHY haven....
*

THIS IS THE ROOM I AM WORKING ON ...and I am so excited and anxious to get it all together...*SIGH

Just the PICTURE of it makes me SWOON and get DIZZY....wonder how I will ever be able to stand it when I do FINALLY get it and walk into it each morning...Probably have a DIZZY SWOON !!

I knew about what I wanted for this room but was just floundering around, looking looking...then, GOLLUM came to my rescue. She saw THIS room and emailed the link to me and....I FELL HEAD OVER HILLS in love with it. THANK YOU, MIZZ GOLLUM....! It will take me awhile to "get it all together" one piece at a time, but, I'll get it !!

I already have the VINTAGE IRON BED that I will paint BLACK...and I have the WHITE COVERLET and the BLACK and WHITE CHECKED BED SKIRT...Oh, honey....Looking at this photo...I am LOVIN' the creamy off-white walls and those beautiful, billowy white SHEERS...Oh, yes...I'm buying white sheers as soon as I can.. and I'm getting more excited by the minute.

It's so so much fun to get excited over something.

But there was NO TIME to do much before our sweeties arrived....SOOO...I threw it in gear and, since I have VINTAGE furniture in there....I just made a tiny BED and BREAKFAST feel to this poor, pitiful, forlorn little room...

I quickly added an olden shelf and a WELCOME sign...
beautiful little painting done by my friend, ERIN...
her ETSY shop holds all kinds of beautiful paintings that
you might find for your cottage...
*
OOO, and that's my "little boy" with me in the photo...he is now 45.. *sigh
and STILL my little boy !!
*

and I hang a CROSS in all our bedrooms.... don't you always feel warm and fuzzy when you see a pretty cross ?

I do....
(SALLY...this is a BLUE cross :))*

Magazines and candy (in my mother's cut glass dish)
A MUST !!

I love my rooms smelling fresh...

I had just repainted the walls of this tiny room a few weeks back..at least it was clean and fresh....

A comfy chair and a vase of flowers...
these are my FAVORITE fauxs..no time for fresh ones before THE COMPANY would be here.

(see, this BLACK wicker chair and table are gonna look sooo good with the BLACK bed)
*

Clean sheets and fluffy pillows in IRONED, LAVENDER SENTED pillow cases..
**
The room was comfortable if not the prettiest one...but
the COUSINS seemed to love it. They said they SLEPT SO GOOD....and that is the most IMPORTANT thing!!
**
One morning, we had fresh, warm APPLE NUT CAKE...now THAT was a hit...:))
*

*

MOSTLY..we just had FUN !!
