The items you have displayed that were purchased at Woolworth's are lovely. And, isn't it wonderful that they used to carry beautiful linens stamped for embroidery? I went in there a lot and the floors were still the same after all these years. As a young girl, I used to buy Blue Waltz cologne in there. A few years ago I found a dime store in Fredricksbug, Tx that still carried it. I can open it up and smell it and it instantly takes me back.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369681864114551968.post-36141100950053269932007-10-30T12:59:00.000-05:002007-10-30T12:59:00.000-05:00Hi BJ!! I have such fond memories of eating hamburgers and french fries while sitting on those barstools that were attached to the tile counter. Now, just down the street, the old Woolworth sign hangs in a trendy restaurant above their bar. The memories just flooded back to me when I saw that sign.Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16995116580320608776noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-369681864114551968.post-65700562184295240862007-10-30T10:27:00.000-05:002007-10-30T10:27:00.000-05:00Memories.....I remember my childhood 5 and 10 with...Memories.....I remember my childhood 5 and 10 with it's wonderful squeaky floors.
