hope everyone is well and happy.
I found this teeny, tiny lamp and shade at Walmart, of all places
and I really like it.
I have a thing about lamps....
especially little lamps.
I have them glowing all night long all over my house.
I dearly HATE it when I get up at night and everything is pitch black.
I like little lamps, lighting my way.
Live ...Laugh... Love...
we should all live by these words, don't ya think?
It's already a cutie pie lamp.......but........
would it be even cuter IF....
I added a little round of BLING to the base....??
I have quite a few vintage prisms that could circle this little baby doll lamp.
Dust catchers, tho.........hmmmmm

And......while I'm on the subject of TINY....
did I ever show you my tiny VINTAGE filing cabinet??
(boy...talk about changing subjects in mid-air !!)
It's just about the cutest thing you ever saw...
A grandgirl, LACEY JEAN, and I went to a garage sale about 10 yrs ago when she was about 9.
We both fell in love with this little metal beauty.
The seller said it had belonged to her dad and he'd had it ever since she could remember.
She was about 60.
I said, "Lacey....we've already spent all our money and I just have about a couple of dollars
and some change left.....not nearly enuf to buy this."
Lacey said, "Give me the change and I'll see if she will sell the cabinet to us."
I guess the lady thought Lacey was so cute so she sold the filing cabinet to her for
mere change....(I did give the seller what money I had in my purse)
Lacey wanted me to have the cabinet....but,
someday, if ever she wants it, it is hers.
.....the cutest little drawers....
I added cute paper.....Candies.....Candles.....Teas

...the olden, rusted key still works the lock.
Someday, I MAY repaint the filing cabinet..........someday..........maybe.....
I don't need to lock it, tho.....it's EMPTY.
If ever I get BAGS OF MONEY, I'll put it in here
and
LOCK IT UP.....
(won't Lacey be surprised when she unlocks it years from now.....hahhaa)
Now that I'm thinking about it all....
think I'll just leave it like it is for awhile...
less to dust...
prisms have to be dusted...
Mr. Sweet would have to drill some holes around the base to hang the prisms on...

Your new little lamp is just PERFECT, BJ! I like lights on in the evening, too. Have you noticed that it is getting darker sooner? Monday night, as I left my quilt guild meeting at 8:30, it was already dark. Booo-Hiss!
AND it was only 45ยบ this morning! Brrrr! I think our summer is over. :-(

Personally, I like it the way it is.....and what a perfect piece of furniture.
What a sweet story behind the little file cabinet! You don't get those memories going to the store and getting what everyone else has! The lamp is pretty too. I like little lights around the house at night too!

Your little lamp is adorable, with or without crystals. I like your filing cabinet, too. You always find the cutest items! I hung crystals from one of our living room lamps. I didn't drill holes or put them on permanently and it is a good thing I didn't. Every time my husband reaches for anything on the lamp table he knocks the crystals off. I think if they were permanently attached he might have knocked the lamp over. I tell him to just leave the crystals, I'll find them later. I do. I put them back on. The next time he comes along he manages to knock them off. They are smaller than your crystals and are apparently not too fragile. He is so good natured when it comes to all of my decorating attempts.

Bj, I honestly think we are related somewhere back there. I also leave tiny lamps lit all over my home..day AND night. I cannot fall asleep in total darkness. It's a childhood thing.
I am just a short way from Walmart. Perhaps :):) I should stop in and have a look see! This is the sweetest little lamp!
