THE porch parties...

I am joining in with TWO beautiful PORCH PARTIES.
RHONDI
KIM at SAVVY SOUTHERN STYLE

 WELCOME
Most of you have seen my front porch for years now..
I just posted a lot of it when I was showing you my new
AWNING and WINDOW BOX.
but...
I wanted to join these two ladies that have worked hard to put on this meme for us.
SOOO,
just humor me, if you will.
THE PORCH has gone thru very little CHANGE...
 CHANGES thru replacing PILLOWS...
PLANTS...
 But the things like...
the CONKLIN sign with it's cute curly-Q, made by our son, DAVID,
and the metal flag, painted by a granddaughter, JESSICA,
and my little HANDPAINTED mailbox...
and the black shutters that MR. SWEET made..
these things NEVER change..
they are a part of me and my comfy porch...

THAT  bench has been on my porch for about 32 years..
my mom and I were thrifting one day and I spotted this dutch bench
at ♫♫♪ GOODWILL ♪♫♪
$5.00
I've had so so many breakfasts
out here on my porch swing....
I used my vintage BLUE TRANSFERWARE
to serve cinnamon rolls, coffee and juice on the swing.
THIS breakfast on the porch was served on my
vintage red tole tray...

...even on a warm DECEMBER morning.
Store bought BANANA BREAD served with sliced bananas..
DELICIOUS !!

TO-DIE-FOR
BLUEBERRY MUFFINS
from scratch were sooo good.
Bake them up fresh for a SUNDAY MORNING TREAT.
THANKS for visiting my front porch..
PLEASE take time to visit the porches and decks of BLOGLAND..
It's gonna be sooo FUN.
♥♥♥

I'd say the best adornment on that porch is the 3 chicks and baby at the end! Your porch is truly lovely..so warm and homey feeling. A perfect place for a morning sit about with a cuppa coffee and fresh buttered toast. Lovely post- xo Diana

Hey there Bj...I am crazy about a beautiful porch, and your's certainly is pretty....
I'll have to tell you...It is almost to dat-burn HOT to even think of going outside here in good ol' East Texas....We haven't in rocked in our rocking chairs this year...Hopefully we will see a break in the temps soon and I will get inspired to make some changes on the back porch...For now, I guess I'll just enjoy yours...

Your porch looks great, Bj. I would love to come hang out with you there when it is cooler. It is really hot and sticky here. Our humidity is just awful. Thanks for joining my party when it happens!

Can I come over to your cute porch for a cup of sweet tea?

I just mentioned to my daughter that what our porch needed was a swing. Right now, it's mainly wicker. Yours looks so very inviting.

You know how I love your porch! I didn't know your son made the Conklin sign, it's just wonderful! And the painted flag, well you know how I love flags:>) And three beauties (yes beauties!) sitting out enjoying it all.

I saw your porch and thought, "now that is my kind of porch". Love it! When we were looking for a house my two main "must haves" was a pantry and a porch...well maybe ample bedrooms too. I managed to get all 3! Yes, I am lucky girl. Oh and by the way one of my favorite, favorite, FAVORITE things in the whole wide world is a porch swing. I could sit in one for for hours. I don't care whose porch it is. If I am visiting and they have a porch swing, that is where I will be!
Hugs, Sue

That bench you and your mama found so long ago is still perfect in that spot today...and I love how you change the cushions and pillows.

It's truly a great outdoor room that you put to lots of good use!!

Would you please send me directions to your house because I'd love to come enjoy your beautiful porch in person! It's so inviting and relaxing. Love that it's splashed with sentimental pieces ... I can only imagine the stories and chats that the bench has heard over the last 30+ years!
