HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, 2011

SILLY ME..

I FORGOT TO ADD MY LINKS.
PINK SATURDAY
FAVORITE THINGS
SAT. NIGHT SPECIAL
SEASONAL SUNDAY

What a special day this is.

"Making a decision to have a child–it’s momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.” MOTHER'S DAY FLOWERS FOR YOU...
Mom was just 17 in this photo..
She was born and raised in East Texas...
and every bit a Southern lady.
She's been gone for 23 years and
we all still miss her so much..
She was an awesome cook..
She made the best CHICKEN AND DUMPLINS, ever !
They were always my favorite meal so, of course,
they have always been my
#1 comfort food.
When I get really lonely for her, I go to the store, buy a fat hen, boil it, making the best broth..
then, the dumplins are made from scratch.
When I sit down with a nice, hot bowl of them....seems like Mom is right beside me.

She ALWAYS saw to it that I got to pull the PULLY BONE...
She ALWAYS never let me forget that she loved me unconditionally.
She ALWAYS was there when I needed her.
SHE will ALWAYS be sorely missed.
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY, MOM

The happiest MOTHER'S DAY to
my daughter, Stacy..
my daughter in law, Kathy...
and my granddaughter, Jessica.
**
AND....
 to ALL mothers, EVERYWHERE.
Much love and

I just put it back up but again I cannot see it so I do not know if it works or not. Lovely story about your mom's chicken dumplings (one of my sister's favorites as well). Thank you for stopping by. 35. BJ, this is the sweetest post. Your mom was beautiful in the photo you shared. Just 17 and I thought I was all grown up at age 17. Silly girl!!!

I know your mom was a very special person just like mine. We were so blessed to have a childhood full of love and security. My mom has been gone 25 years and I too miss her so much. I am drooling over the chicken and dumplings. My mom was not the greatest cook but she was awesome at baking bread and making pies. What I would give for a slice of her pie. Any kind!

Happy Mother's Day my dear sister friend.
    Love and hugs,
    Jeanne xo
