Being a little cooler weather, we wanted to have a good dinner outside..
so...we lit the candles and started the grill...
*

so many trees around our cottage, the sky is just a spot in our backyard....

I can't remember just where I got the recipe.
IT WAS FROM A BLOGGER...
and I am so so sorry to say, I have NO idea WHO.
Full of APRICOTS and ALMONDS...
SO GOOD.

There is a small winery nearby that I follow on FB and they have been adversting the rasberry wine. I am so tempted to go there and get some now after seeing your post! Oh, and I hope you don't mind I am borrowing your Southern quote on your header to post on my FB status. That is just so true! LOL! Have a happy Labor Day!
ReplyDeleteOh it is still so hot and humid to get to eat outside here, but I enjoyed looking at your beautiful pictures. The pictures of the blue sky were really cool. I had to laugh at your dessert and not knowing where you got the reciepe from. I do that all the time see things on blogs and for get where. I bought a notebook to help with that, but haven't used it yet! HAHA
ReplyDeleteHave a great holiday, Missy

ReplyDeleteSince we've been married; I have always made sure we had one evening a week for just him and I.
Not always easy with 4 boys, but it worked and we celebrated 47 years this summer.

Would you and Mr. Sweet PLEASE open a restaurant halfway between where you live and where I live? I believe that ALL of your food looks like it is made for a contest:) Gorgeous and I KNOW tasty too! Have a sweet day my friend! HUGS!
ReplyDeleteWhat else? You know I love it!
ReplyDeleteBrenda
As if the table were not pretty enough, and the food were not delicious looking, you added the blue hour! That part was my favorite. Loved it,and loved your table for two.
ReplyDeleteLove your red and white table for two!
ReplyDeleteHasn't the cooler weather been perfect for a beautiful dinner outside? this has become such a treat for Earl and I, to be able to linger over a wonderful dinner in the garden seems even more romantic than going out to a restaurant because we just sit outside and talk for as long as we want. Setting a beautiful table as you did, makes it even more romantic and pretty. I love this BJ!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous post BJ! Love the dreamy blue sky shots.
ReplyDeleteYour music is wonderful too!
~Melissa :)

ReplyDeleteIt's supposed to be less hot here, tomorrow/Fri., as well.
Then comes the hurricane of course. lol.
Ohhhhh do they have Blueberry Wine too? I ask because I'm back to only being supposed to eat blueberries and pears, in fruits. So when you said... a berry wine... I thought of blueberry. :-)
Ohhhh yes! The Blue Hour! I love calling twilight, by that name. Well, I love to TRY to call it "L'heure Blu."

ReplyDeleteI love the white background on your blog!!!! Love it!!!! And the pretty new Header Pic!
Love your blog look!!!
And... [I just rattle on, don't I?] Don't flying bugs and mosquitoes bother you, while eating outside in the evening? If I tried that, I'd be eaten alive, well before I ate my food. -sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhh-
It is a lovely table for two! How gorgeous your table looks! I do love red & white! What a perfect setting! Thank you for sharing.
