A LITTLE, BITTY, TEENY, TINY MAKE-OVER for VINTAGE THINGIES THURSDAY

Let's play VINTAGE THINGY THURSDAY with SUZANNE of COLORADO LADY again...
Go by and see what vintage things she is showing and take a look at all the other treasures around...
and THANK YOU for coming by to see me today..
*
This is a little vintage FURNITURE make-over that I have shown before....
THIS is a bookshelf that was a natural wood and I didn't think to take a photo of it before I painted it....BLACK ...
Now, SMILING SALLY, I KNOW you don't like painted furniture and can't imagine
why anyone would PAINT perfectly good furniture...especially BLACK...
but this little bookshelf is an unfinished one that had a stain of
"U.G.L.Y."
on it, so.....what's a girl to do but
PAINT IT !
I'm not even sure if it is VINTAGE...I just know it is about
35 years old...is that vintage enuf ??
*I needed some cuteness on this little wall ....
Three good shelves for books but I have a
WHOLE WALL of bookshelves and didn't need this one to hold books, too....
*

I was shopping at our local arts and crafts mall and came across this delightful little sign...
Loving graphics and words so much, I fell in love with it...took it home without a
clue where it might go...I especially loved the khaki and black....
*
It fit JUST PERFECTLY on my newly painted bookshelf...
(this was several years ago, tho)
how lucky is that !
*

Three baskets (from Michael's) fit perfectly across one shelf....
and I am thinking..."I like this....A LOT"
*
So, I went back to the store, bought 6 more baskets and....
WALLA... a POTTERY BARN LOOK-ALIKE...heh heh...
Lots of added storage space for all kinds of things....and....
I even have 2 of the baskets....
STILL EMPTY !! WHOA......

(HEY...maybe I can put more DISHES in them !.......ya think ?

I, like all of you, just love re -purposing!!

It's FUN !!
