AREN'T THESE PINK DOLLS THE CUTEST THINGS....
PLEASE go over to LADY JANES EMPORIUM and see these precious little dolls she makes,
donates all the money to FIND THE CURE for breast cancer and brings comfort to so many brave ladies fighting this dreaded disease.....
These little dolls are so great and LADY JANE will personalize them in any way you would like...
It is such a wonderful chance to do your part in bringing a small amount of comfort
to someone you love and
to help a lot more.
*
THESE are two old, OLD, REALLY OLD
beautiful quilt tops that my step-father's
mother made in
1929 and 1935.....
aren't they simply amazing ?
Beautiful Daughter has them in her
lovely home and enjoys them so much.
I see both of them were made in the month
of April....wonder if that was a "slow" time
around the farm and she had time to sew ?
*
GOOD GRIEF, I just found a few more PINKS I didn't even know I had..
Now, some aren't what might be considered
PRETTY PINKS....
some are just NECESSARY PINKS....
but....
their color is right , so they qualified for this PINK SATURDAY...woo hoo !!
* HE listens to every single prayer we send up so ....SEND THEM UP TO HIM !
Don't worry yourself over things...big or small...
HE wants you to give your worries to HIM....
HE knows better how to handle them than we do !!
*

PINK SATURDAY rolls around every single week and, oh, don't we have fun with it.
BEVERLY is the gracious hostess each week and she delights in having all of us visit her and leave nice words on her blog as well as visit all the other PINK sites...
THANK YOU, BEVERLY....
and thanks to everyone that works so hard in getting all their pretty PINKS out for us to see...
*

I see a tiny bit of a pink rose on my bathroom clock....
never noticed that before ! See, BEVERLY...you
have taught us to train our eyes for the luscious PINKS
in our world...
*

Pink metal rose on the perfume shelf...

*

*
Why have I never paid attention to the little things....
like the beautiful PINK bath powder and puff....
that I always buy PINK cotton balls instead of white ...
that my combs and a pick from the 1980's is PINK...(now why
in the world would a woman save a PICK?)
my hand cremes, my blush.....
ALL PINK !
AMAZING!!
*

I see a little pink here...
and the sweetest little grand....
*

and a little Pink here...
dressing up another little granddaughter.....
I HAVE MENTIONED, HAVEN'T I, THAT WE HAVE 7 OF THEM ?
and 3 of the male type ??
ain't life Grand !!
********
***********************************************
'COURSE, EVERYONE KNOWS
OUR PINK SATURDAY HUNK....
*
MR. WARREN BEATTY
* WHEW !!
course, he was a young thing here....
and why is it that the REALLY, REALLY good looking ones
don't seem to age very well ????
Exceptions, of course...
SIR SEAN CONNERY, for one !!
hmmm, a post soon might have to be a
BEFORE and AFTER of older age...sounds good to me..
I'll have to think about THAT one...
*

And, child...if you've not seen THIS movie, rent it and settle down for some
REALLY good entertainment !!
WARREN outdid himself in this one...
*
My mother lived in Dallas where Bonnie and Clyde lived for awhile and
told me many stories about them and how afraid everyone was of them.
They were killed in 1934 and both are buried in Dallas, Texas,
my hometown.

  15. I love the quilts. I just bought a new book Bonnie and Clyde.Every time I go to Louisiana I pass by right where they were killed. In a small down where the guys staked out in the woods. There is a stone there and they have a museum.I have always been amazed by their story. I think because lived so close to where it happened and we were taught about it.

  19. It was so fun to see all the pinkness! I especially love those pink crazy quilts. Those are such a treasure!

I have that same Paris clock! It used to hang in my living room at the old house, but it wasn't working right. I may pop a new battery in to see how it does, and I'll put it in my new bedroom.

    Happy PS!

Those quilts are wonderful, and I know your daughter treasures them.

    Isn't Jane wonderful?!!!

And, thank you for the constant supply of hunks. ;-)

  30. Hi! Visiting from SITS here! You were above me in roll call.

You have such a nice blog:)

I enjoyed watching the movie, Bonnie and Clyde. Sir Sean Connery is pretty darn good. But another one, he may not be good looking, but there is something about him....Clint Eastwood.

  32. BJ, 4:00 this morning. that was early girl. I was up too and if I saw a post from you I would have been right back. Smile. Now the day is almost shot and I am behind.

You did a great job coming up with pink today. Lots of pink. The dolls are real little pinkies and the quilts are awesome. all of it is great but what sticks in my mind is your mom knowing Bonnie and Clyde. That was a great movie. How fun to hear some first hand stories from your mom no less. I didn't remember it was Texas where all that happened.

Have a great weekend. I hope your knee is doing what it is supposed to do and that you are well.

    Hugs...Jeanne

My look at all the pinks you found. I love the dolls and your towels and the quilts are just beautiful. They really are old. Interesting analogy of why the quilts were both completed in the month of April.

You have learned to look at the world in a pink kind of way...I'm doing that with blues....

    have a lovely day
