VINTAGE MOVIE POSTERS
are like works of art to me....
I just love 'em...
Just wish I had an entire room to show them.....
I would have a NEW collection...
*shhhh, don't let MR. SWEET NOTHINGS hear that !!

this one is about everyones FAVORITE....

JAWS scared the very living water right out of me...
and everyone else that saw it.
Bet I've seen it 25 times....just LOVE it...

I was so scared in this one, I bawled like a baby...Mr. Sweet Nothings out of town...
both kids out of the house for the night...
this came on tv and I just HAD to watch it (I love scary movies better than anything!!).
Had to call the little fella across the street, who was a whopping 11, to come over and stay with me until I could finish the movie....told ya I am a big titty baby !!

WELL...PURPLE is a form of BLUE ...
.and this is one of my ALL TIME favorite movies in the whole world !!
Warren Beatty....OH HONEY !
FABULOUS MOVIE !!

to tell the truth...IT'S been so long since I saw this, I don't even remember what it is about...
I was never a BRANDO fan but I sure loved VIVIEN LEIGH.....
especially in her GONE WITH THE WIND role...oh, my!!

i was totally and forever in love with the YOUNG Elvis...
fickle me.....
i wasn't as fond of him in older days....
of course, i am so sorry he got all hooked up with drugs...
they sure did a number on him...bless his heart....

JAMES DEAN....again, not one of my favorites...
BUT....
ROCK HUDSON !!
Gay or not, he made MY heart beat faster !!
and....
LIZ TAYLOR was always a favorite and so SO pretty....

Sorry, folks, but I never could STAND
HUMPHREY BOGART
OR
INGRID BERGMAN

I'm thinking this one may have been MM's best one !

this one isn't really vintage...just a favorite of a lot of us....

SPEAKING of........
MICHAEL J FOX....
my MONDAY HUNK..
bless your heart, Michael...we are all praying for you!

Have a happy BLUE MONDAY....
love, bj

GM BJ, Love your movie posters. I loved James Dean and that movie, I don't even know how many times I saw that one. Even begged my MOM to buy me a red jacket. He started that craze. I was so sad that he died so suddenly in a car crash. And Jaws, girl, I still won't get in the salt water. :) Hope you have a great day.

Love Ya,
Chris

Good morning BJ, I LOVE your movie posters. I have seen them all more than once except the scary ones. I am more that a titty baby, scary movies are not viewed by these eyes. I saw Jaws once and that was enough for me. I also read the book. I also hate movies with snakes in them. I swear, I have nightmares.

I love romantic and feel good or comedy movies the best. You know, sappy happy endings. LOL. I am in the wrong century.

Have a wonderful day BJ.

Love and hugs...Jeanne

CLAUDIE from CANADA...I do hope you see this note.
I have tried for several weeks to leave a comment on your blog but it won't let me. Your site freezes every time I try to get on it.
I just wanted you to know that I have tried....

Morning BJ...You picked some goodies and I'm with you...Humphrey Bogart made me wonder how he could have been a movie star...even his name was awful...Ingrid Bergman, another box office mystery to me too.
Have a wonderful day, ;-) Bo

Love the posters. I still think that gay thing about Rock was just a promotion stunt. No way someone that good looking and sexy was gay. Happy Blue Monday!

My fave of all of these is JAWS..I can still watch and cringe ==it's great! My fave scene is when they drink too much and are singing when the shark begins to attack the boat! The best!

What wonderful old movie posters BJ! I loved all the old Doris Day and Rock Hudson movies. They don't make them like that anymore.

I think the beaches became less crowded after Jaws came out...yikes!

Happy Monday to you!

Great flicks for sure. Not to long ago I rode along the James Dean Memorial highway.
The parking lot scene in Back to the future was shot at a mall that I used to frequent when I was younger. It's about 15mins from here.
I hope you've had a greeat day!

Thanks for the walk down Memory Lane, BJ! Now I'm sorry I didn't rent a movie for tonight. Guess I'll just have to watch something on a cable channel.

BTW, I got the FAMILY sign at Hobby Lobby for half price about a month ago. Only paid $15. What a deal!

BJ, nice to see all the old movie posters. I love them.

Hey I love scary movies too! The scarier the better.

God bless.

Those are some great posters, BJ! I think Back to the Future may soon be vintage, although I was in HS/college when those came out! I've seen a lot of those old ones, though!

Great movie pix. Isn't it funny how we each have favorites? Hmmm. I do like Bogart, but not Bacall. I never really liked Elvis although he was a fascinating personality. Loved Rock H. and Doris C. Oh, and I love Judy Garland. Have you ever read the book "Get Happy"? Kind of sad really.

Good Evening dear BJ
I just read your note and ahhhh no how come?
That's 2 people today that can't view my blog. I have stripped it down. The only thing left to take away is my music and I just can't seem to do that yet. I"m so sorry. I can view yours thank goodness.
I must share a Michael J Fox story with you. My husband, who is the same age as Mike, were in the same high school in Burnaby, B.C. They both played music and had many jam sessions though out their high school years together. Of course he was just a reg. nice guy and we always followed his success. We had 3 kids and so did they, same ages.
When we see him on T.V. now, it hurts to watch. He looks like a very determined man and so mature for his age. We still think of him on Family Ties and Back to the Future. We just couldn't believe his news.
Ok gotta catch up on the other blue posts.

Great movie posters! I'm more of a baby than you. I cannot watch scary movies AT ALL! I could barely get into a bathtub after I saw Jaws! I cannot believe you would watch a scary movie when you were home alone. In my book, that makes you a big girl! laurie
