TWO FUN THINGS FOR TODAY...

I love to talk about the great talents we have here with us in Blogland...
This button is for the ETSY SHOP for the BUNNIES BUNGALOW, owned by DEBRAK..
I found this darling apron there at such a reasonable price, I could not resist..
She has VERY FAST SERVICE, too, ladies..

I'm trying here to show you my apron but there's no one here to take the picture, decided to try what SHEILA does so well and take my own picture in a mirror........
I flubbed !!!
Sorry !!

OK, here's a MUCH better picture .....here's the little pocket on this adorable cross-stitch, hand made apron...I've been wanting an apron for so long...what ever happened to the DRAWER FULL I USED to have??? I think they are with all those SOX I keep losing only ONE of......

I probably won't actually WEAR it while I'm cooking...I'm afraid something would happen to it...
.......like the Chicken Pot Pie I just put in the microwave...got it all done but....it needed BROWNING.....
Into the oven, under the BROILER...phone rang, smoke started coming out of oven, microwave pot pies are in a PAPER dish...paper dish caught fire......
ONE DONE CHICKEN POT PIE !!
I am not above having all kinds of accidents in my RED kitchen and I sure don't wanna distroy myNEW, OLD APRON !! I'll get a cute hook and hang the apron on it...then folks will think I cook EVERY DAY !! HA !!

DEBRAK has a lot of really neat things in her ETSY SHOP that you might want to take a look at.
Some really hard-to-find, one-of-a-kind items...I love that kind of shop !
MANY THANKS, DEBRAK
next......

Just seems like last week that I ordered some delicious sounding items from
BRENDA at COUNTRY ROMANCE FROM THE HEART.
SHE has started her very own ETSY SHOP..... be sure to go over and take a look around...it even SMELLS good with all the spices floating around her place.....

Well, I heard the postman ring my doorbell this morning and then saw him drive off..
SURE SIGN that I had something out there in my porch swing....
BRENDA had already filled my order, mailed it out and now, here it was...Now, that was FAST !!

Now, let's see what I ordered....
Oh, yummy....there's a BIG bag of FIRE SIDE MOCHA MIX.....
it says, "Warm up with the great taste of cocoa, coffee and spice."
I will fix a cup of it tonight and I can hardly wait...
I like coffee...
and I like cocoa....
and I LUV them TOGETHER !!.... note...just tried it last night and it is DELICIOUS!
***************
THEN, there's DILL DIP mix...
SESAME SEED DIP mix....
BACON DIP mix...

OOOO....HOLD ON A SECOND...
awhhh...she sent me two other SAMPLES..

INSTANT SPICE TEA (yum and double yum)
and
CHILI CHEESE DIP mix.....(oh honey)
AND
a ROOT BEER OLD FASHIONED CANDY STICK....(which i have stuck in the side of my mouth, as we speak !)
*****************************
Thank you so much for all the samples and the candy, BRENDA...that's so sweet of you.
And, thank you for sending my order out so quickly...in plenty of time for the holidays...
******************
I'll let ya'll know about the dips as I try them...gonna wait until the holidays so the family can enjoy, too.
THEY ARE GOING TO JUST LOVE THEM ALL, I KNOW.
****************
love, bj

Thanks BJ your post is awsome. I also feel so at home here. I have to know did you top it with good whipping cream and stream of chocolate syrup? While April was here I thought we would drink enough to float lol.Made us feel fancy like we were at a coffee shop.
As for the the stick you know how much I love Cracker Barrel?I found these old fashion sticks and I had to buy them up they just remind me of old times.
Your name is in for something special.

Hi BJ just stopped in to say hello and let you know I'm thinking of you. I used to LOVE to go to craft shows to get those food mixes, how nice to know we don't have to leave home to get them!

Good morning BJ, I do love that vintage apron. My aprons always have a top on them, I need extra protection. LOL Your pot pie is exactly what would happen to me ANY time I use the broiler. Broiler=burned in this kitchen. sigh.

I will be visiting the Etsy shops at Brenda's and Debrak today. Thanks for the info.

Love...Jeanne

Morning BJ..great post girl...I loved that apron!!! Now what you do is put on a pair of pearls and high heels and a dress with like 20 stand out slips under it ..you know like June Cleaver wore..put that gorgeous apron on and run to the front door when hubby gets home and throw your arms around him and say "Ward, I have missed you!" lol lol

Wow - I just mosied on over from smiling sally. Your picture is fantastic. If I looked half as good now (in my fifties) as you look now - would I be a happy woman.

As for the apron, I wouldn't wear it either, it's just toooooo pretty. I wear the ones that come 3 to a pack from my local "wholesale club". The kind with the "bib" on it, cause when I'm cooking the food flies.

I laughed at the description of your Pot Pie escapade. Sounds like something that would happen to me.

Enjoyed wandering through your blog!

Hi BJ - I love the apron. I think that after the holidays I will try to make a few. Yours is just too pretty to wear. It will look nice hanging on a hook. I really need to try the ETSY shop. I have heard nothing but good things about it. I love your story about the chicken pot pie. Have a great day.
Hugs,
Sweetie

Hey BJ,
What a precious apron! I love vintage aprons...and this one is a real treasure! I have my an etsy shop account set up and I've thought about selling in the vintage category...I have it up but haven't listed anything yet for sell...I've still been thinking about it and wondering if people are spending right now on vintage treasures. I will let you be the first to know if and when I ever open my shop and of course I'll have the button on my blog to get there too..... when I decide to open up. So glad you found some things that made you smile sweet lady!
xoxo,
Queenie

Your apron is wonderful but I think you should save it as a "hostess apron" and not cook in it...perhaps just serve. Love your self photo...I think you did a good job taking the picture.

Brenda includes candy with her orders!!! Okay...I'm placing my order tonight. I just know her things will be yummy! Both Brenda and Debra K are favorites of mine.

Hi BJ!
Your apron is so adorable! I always loved the sheer aprons that she wore when she had a bridal shower or baby shower and was serving the food. They looked so pretty and elegant to me. The cross stitch on your apron is so nicely done!
The blue Staffordshire dishes you have are incredible!! That flower basket design is the cutest thing ever. I've never seen any before, and I can understand why you love them!
Hugs, Sherry
