BLESSED RAIN out here in WEST TEXAS

While GOD has showered ME with blessings of returning health,

HE has sent some precious rain for our gardens, too.

These have become so thick and lush....

As soon as I can, I need to thin and transplant....

The flowers will be larger, I think..

These are the neatest little purple flowers...not a clue as to their name.

They produce new, fresh flowers every day up until around 4....
then they drop and new ones come the next morning.
PURE BLESSED RAIN WATER

Notice all the BROWN leaves from the hot, dry summer ? I was afraid my
pretty lilies wouldn't bloom but....
BLOOM THEY DID

and, see the buds ? ......there's more to come....

I PRAY YOUR GARDEN IS GROWING, TOO

Love, bj

  22. Enjoyed this post, BJ. Good to hear you had some rain. We're hoping for rain, too. It seems we had too much early on and now Missouri is beginning it's typical summer. Temps in high nineties and lots of humidity! The grass is crackling beneath our feet. It's either one thing or another!

I am so enjoying reading your blog again, BJ. It shows me you must be improving. I think of you daily. You remain in my prayers.

    Have a wonderful week.

  23. Hey dear sweet BJ! I am so happy to see you feeling better and to see your flowers blooming so pretty for you.
My flowers are doing well. Except in one planter, I planted three lobelia plants, two are beautiful the last one looks more dead than not and seems to barely be hanging on, not sure how to explain that. The planter is tall so nothing should be getting to them and I promise I have treated them all equally honest!

  26. Hey, Miss Jean, I'll bet those blooms that close at 4 and have new ones in the morning are what Mother used to call 4 o'clocks. I might could recognize them if we can ever both feel like looking at them. They were the bloomingest things I ever saw when Mother was growing them and sure enough they did close up shop at 4 and had new blooms the next morning. You could almost set your clock with them. Do you suppose they even know about Daylight Saving Time? Smart little flowers if you ask me. Get well soon!!!!! I love you! Martha
