WE FOUND OUT THAT THE NEW TABLE MAKES A FABULOUSCHECKER BOARD
WE USED POKER CHIPS FOR THE CHECKERS AND IT WORKED OUT JUST GREAT.
THE GIRLS BEAT ME ........
EVERY, SINGLE TIME !!!!!!
MOST OF US SPENT THE REST OF THE DAY DOINGTHIS !!!
IT RAINED (BLESSED RAIN) PART OF THE EVENING AND SMELLED AND FELT SO GOOD.
WE NEEDED IT SO MUCH OUT HERE IN HOT, DRY WEST TEXAS
I AM SO THANKFUL FOR OUR GOD, OUR FAMILY, OUR COUNTRY

So glad you got some rain...we sure need some down here..this humidity and heat just sucks up all the moisture down here (usually leaves it trickling down every nook and cranny of your body before you can even step outside good and get the door shut!!!!)lol Have a great day sweetie!!

What a fun day. Girl i here you about the rain. We have been getting evening storms and im not gonna fuss. Helps with the heat and sure with the watering of the flowers and garden.

I think most men love their steaks. lol Love all the pictures and your table certainly does make the perfect checker board! lol Love it!! ReplyDeleteJean, your Father's Day sounds a lot more restful than ours, but not any more fun. We had lunch at church and a very full rest of the day including my beautiful daughter and I registering the kids for Summer Excitement out under the trees in the common area at LCU where it RAINED on us until we had to move up on the porch. Isn't that great? You're right about how good the rain smelled and felt. The breeze was nice afterwards too. So glad Bill and David had a good Father's Day and your family could be together for the most part. Sorry your beautiful daughter had to miss it, but you got yo enjoy the girls anyway. Don't worry about the girls beating you at checkers. Playing on that gorgeous table was worth it. Love you! Martha

BJ: Thanks for your sweet comment on our little trip to Sylacauga. You know how how it is down south right now! My hair went limp, my makeup ran and I think my deo wore off but we had a great time with Wanda and all our other little shopping adventures. Rhoda is such a sweet, sweet girl and I see many more "road trips" with her in the future.
