I'm In Love With MACKENZIE-CHILDS......

I've shared with you my prized Mackenzie-Childs enamelware tea kettle before...my first piece of this loved collection. This pattern is called COURTLEY CHECK and is my favorite, altho I like all of their patterns.

I now have a new piece....plus a 2008 calendar, with some fabulous pictures of their wares. I know I will drool all over the place with each new picture of the month.

If you like this kind of thing, you should order a free catalog from their web site. Their items are rather pricey but it is such fun getting a piece every now and then and knowing you have a quality piece to pass along to your family; and just looking at their catalog is fun!

Don't you know that I love this piece! It is going to be so pretty to serve "goodies" on and beside all that....it looks great, just standing alone!

Thank you, Beautiful Daughter and family! I LOVE IT ~
***********
I have some pictures to share but they are all on my new Christmas camera and I haven't figured out just how to put them on my computer. I think it's quite different from my older camera.......how fun !!
Have a warm day!

BJ,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Quitting smoking as the same for me. Never tried because I was way too addicted (36 yrs.) and then it was so easy. I am so relieved I did it.

Next subject...McKenzie Childs. I gave the teapot to a friend for her 60th birthday and if i had given her a Kings ransom she wouldn't have been happier. She had wanted it for years. My question...where do you get the calendars. I have never seen one and MUST have one.

Good Morning BJ,
Oh what a beautiful Teapot. I love it. I've never heard of MacKenzie Child's before, but I may have to order a free catalog. I had to go to our local Dollar General Store yesterday evening and I got me a good bargain. It was a set of Santa Christmas Dishes. There were 2 bowls that were broken and the lady let me have the 16-piece set for $5.50. Now, I couldn't resist that. I will use them next Christmas. "THANKS" for sharing your beautiful dishes with us. Take care my friend and have a great Friday. May God Bless You and Yours.

Love & Hugs,
Karen H.

Hi BJ, that teapot is something else, you must be like the cat who got the cream! Glad you had a good Christmas, our tree has to stay up until 6th Jan, but I would really like to get it all put away too and get on with things. Wishing you a great New Year.
love,
Lucy x

Expensive and beautiful. I have always loved the black/white colors with a hit of red for a pop effect.

What a wonderful gift BJ. I love M-C as well. So much whimsy in their work. The check pattern reminds me of Alice In Wonderland when the chessboard pieces come to life. Enjoy your new MC addition in great health. Happiest of New Years to you and yours,
Darly

Oh BJ, what a beautiful new piece! I'm sure you will love filling it with little cookies, and cakes, and fruit, and candies...OK, I'm getting hungry now!

Love your new header! Have a very happy new year, sweetie!

I love those pieces. So pretty. They remind me of a cake plate that was my Mom's. It is red and white checked, and Mom used to always make coconut cakes at Christmas and put it on the red and white plate.

I did that this year in honor of her.

Lucky you owning some Mackenzie Childs pieces. I LOVE everything they make and drool over their catalogue too! Quite a few years ago I got to hear her give a talk on how they got started with a great slide show. It was great and she was a doll! Someday I hope to own a piece or two. Happy New Year Rhondi

Oh-h-h BJ, I love your MacKenzie-Childs collection. I'm very partial to the black and white look with a little red thrown in for color. I have never purchased any MC stuff but I might have to now.
Have a wonderful New Year (and a blessed Birthday)!
